Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The Desktop support service is proposed to support the business users PC, Laptops and other associated computer peripherals
Routine Actions
Software installation:
• Office installation: all PC’s will be installed office suite like (word, excel, outlook, etc.). This may include adjust setting like configuring email account.
• Operating system installation: Setup windows on PC’s, with all required setting and polices along with Antivirus.
• Other Program & application installation: install any program or application that may request from end user and comply with IT policy.
Software troubleshooting:
• Office troubleshooting: may include configure, repair and reinstall any of office suites.
• Login error (disk full): recover; delete any unnecessary files that may affect PC performance.
• Login problem: may include repair OS, change some setting.
• Browsing problem: may include repairing IE or Mozilla and fixing any related issues (add-ons, plug-ins).
• Antivirus issues: may include update virus definition or repairing current installation and remove any viruses, worms, Trojans, etc.
Hardware installation:
• PC setup: may include setup new PC’s or moving existing PC’s to another location.
• Device Check: checking existing Hardware for the purpose of replacement.
• Printer installation: may include installation and configuration of printers also installing drivers on the selected PC’s.
• Scanner installation: may include scanner installation along with required driver on the PC’s connected to it.
• Printer ink: changing printer ink.
Other Activities:
• Provide troubleshooting of network connectivity and server issues.
• Proactively assisting with help desk / service desk duties, supporting printers, hardware, software and related technical issues.
• Installation and Configuration of Operating Systems on Desktops as well as Servers and all other related day to day software.
• Configuration Setup and Troubleshooting of Email client.
• Configuration and setup of Hardware such Servers, PC, Network Printers, Wireless devices and network connectivity through mobile devices.
• Detecting, diagnosing and correcting computer hardware, software, and peripheral errors.
• Keep track on the entire H/W and S/W inventory
• Replace any hardware device which is not working
• Ability to perform partition, drive space allocation and understand NTFS and FAT partitioning.
• Troubleshoot of network connectivity and server issues.
• Install and Configure Operating Systems on Desktops and other business related software.
• Configure, Setup and troubleshoot of Email client.
• Data backup and recovery of user data on to removable medium.
• Detect, diagnose and resolve computer hardware, software, and peripheral errors.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance of PCs and peripherals.
• Perform all office administrative tasks.

o Provide 1st and 2nd Level IT Support
o Monitored pre and post support. Assemble, upgrade and maintain computers in computer Lab.
o Managed formatting, maintenance and troubleshooting in hardware and software on PCs in computer Lab, as well as computers in Admin Section and other School Labs.
• As a computer teacher:
o Teach FBISE Pakistan’s Syllabi from grade 6th to grade 12th.
o Provide students market knowledge by arranging visits to market as per requirements of the topic.
o Prepare lesson plans.
• As a ICT teacher’s trainer, provide ICT training sessions to teachers and for this purpose:
o Complete training need analysis of teachers for ICT Teacher’s Professional Development
o Prepare report on ICT Teacher’s Professional Development.
• Training sessions covered Window Basics, Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power-point on PCs
• Developed and maintained computer software required by the company.
• Installing, configuring Computer System, diagnosis and solve hardware /software faults
• Monitored Software Developments, System Analysis and Database Administration, pre and post support. Assemble, upgrade and maintain computers.
