BSS and Transmission Network Swap(Project VEGA) Leading RAN Swap and RAN Rollout/expansion in the region as Assistant Manager main responsibilities include
o Leading team which includes BSS/ Transmission Specialist, Civil Engineers.
o Nationwide BSS Swap planning, risk analysis, evaluating swap scenarios, stakeholder analysis, risk management.
o Rollout of Pre-Swap Installation and timely swap implementation of 2400 sites in the Central Region.
o Transmission swap of 3000+ access PDH links and existing NEC/NSN SDH links.
o Ensuring region meet new BSS sites rollout targets leading both Civil and RAN team. It includes close coordination with Civil, RF, Site Acquisition and planning team. It includes subcontractor management and providing technical support to the teams
o BSS expansion of whole region, insuring timely network expansion and maintaining network KPIs
Regional Project Manager Power Optimization Turn Key Project which includes
o Remote Maintenance System (RMS): RMS Project includes installation and acceptance of RMS devices and ensures optimization of RMS system. RMS-1 Project scope includes 200 sites; RMS-2 Project includes installation of RMS device at 800 BTS sites.
o Genset Less Operation (GLO): GLO project includes installation and acceptance of heavy backup system at 550 BTS sites. Main Responsibilities includes complete on site civil work to support heavy duty battery back system, integration of new system with network operation and maintenance system and on site swap with existing power system.
o Project and Batteries Enhancement Project: Project includes replacement of onsite faulty backup system network wide.
o O&M of Power Optimization Projects: Leading the O&M of all power optimization projects in Central Region. It includes timely diagnosing fault and rectification within required SLA. Timely recovery of faulty equipment from the vendors as per agreements.
o Savings Calculation: It includes calculation of monthly fuel savings from GLO and RMS Projects. Ways to improve fuel saving process by benchmarking with other regions.
o Technical Support: Providing technical support to resolve bottlenecks in execution of projects. Supporting site design team in evaluation of alternative power solutions.
Network Expansion: Lead BSS expansion of whole region, insuring timely network expansion and maintaining network KPIs.
RF Issues:It also includes timely resolution of hardware cases causing degrading network KPI’, worst cell resolution
Asset Optimization Project: Lead Asset Optimization project of the region which includes implementation of new ideas and ways to reduce network operating cost.
Microwave Optimization Project: Lead microwave optimization project which includes Re-routing of problematic long hop links, dismantling of no traffic carrying link.
• Working as BSS and Transmission Specialist Central Region in Implementation Department responsible for project roll out of whole access and transmission network which includes
WTL OFC Metro Project Responsible for World Call OFC metro project in the Central-I Region. Metro project of Central-I Region consists of Optical fiber rings in five major cities of central Punjab which includes Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Gujrat. Major responsibilities includes supervision of subcontractors working in different cities to speed the work in order to meet the deadlines and maintain quality of installation which includes optical fiber laying, testing and indoor installation/testing of Huawei OSN system.
BSS NSN BSC, BTS and TRAU acceptance and testing.
Transmission Includes acceptance and testing of NEC Microwave links, Siemens Microwave links, Huawei DVDW, Huawei OFN, Siemens HiT, Nortal Passports and Nokia MGW. Mainly responsible for the transmission of Siemens HiT’s and Siemens PDH/SDH links required for whole network’s transmission in central-1. It includes Siemens ADM’s (hiT7070, hiT7060 and hiT7035) and SDH links required for MGWs, BSCs and MSCs interconnectivities.
Coordination with NSN Teams to speed up the project roll out in order to achieve monthly roll out BTS sites targets. It includes supervision of BTS sites installation, integration and on site acceptance.
In-Sourced BTS sites monthly Roll-Out It includes close coordination with civil team to check sites RFI status and issues delaying installation, ATP and sites environment. It includes close coordination with logistic team for delivery of equipment at sites ready for installation. It includes close follow-up with TI subcontractors to speed up sites installation, integration and acceptance process maintaining quality of work. It includes close coordination with transmission planning team for generation of sites transmission plan and push TI subcontractors for its implementation.
• Worked as Regional Team Leader BSS in Center-1 Region responsible for
BSC Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and ATP of 32 BSC.
Phase-A/Phase-B BTS sites Installation, commissioning, ATP and trouble shooting of 46 Phase-A BTS sites and 600 Phase-B BTS sites.
PCU installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of 12 PCU for Phase-A/Phase-B
Swap of existing Nortal BSS network includes swapping of 270 Nortal existing BTS sites, 11 BSC and 3 PCU.
O&M level-2 support of commercially launched BTS sites, BSC and PCU.
Drive Test Support to RFO teams in conducting sites DT and optimization.
Network Analysis of Database parameters to identify the RF related issues.
Performance/traffic Reports Analysis for the identification and resolution of both BSS and RF related issues.
Coordination with Civil Teams to check sites RFI status and issues delaying installation, ATP and sites environment.
Coordination with Subcontractor Teams in order to speed-up project roll-out and to check installation quality.

PTCL CDMA Project Phase1-2:
• Worked as Senior BSS Engineer in GTR on PTCL CDMA Phase-2 project responsible for
BSC Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and ATP of 2 BSC.
Phase-A/Phase-B BTS sites Installation, commissioning, ATP and trouble shooting of 180 BTS sites.
PDSN connectivity through Huawei ARP routers.
O&M level-2 support of commercially launched BTS sites and BSC.
Drive Test Support to RFO teams in conducting sites DT and optimization.
