• To assess, monitor and evaluate students' progress in each class to promote pupil achievement and to ensure that underachievement is promptly addressed.
• To plan lessons and schemes of work which promote challenge, rigour and creativity.
• To use a range of strategies to engage students of all abilities with the subject.
• To deliver enrichment programmes.
• To organise and attend fixtures to promote competition and allow students to succeed
• To provide regular feedback for students in a way which supports their progress against targets and has a tangible impact on student learning.

• To act as a role model for tutors by demonstrating high expectations and being a calm and assertive presence around the school
• To ensure all tutors understand and are actively implementing school policies including; behaviour, attendance, uniform/equipment, form time programme and safeguarding
• To have an overview of all the different pastoral needs and support of students e.g. LSA's, Mentors, SENCo, external agencies.
• To provide a link for parents, tutors, SENCo, teachers, mentors, SLT and external agencies
