• Survey the market and doing the required comparisons, L.P.Os issuance and international P.Os as well.
• Update vendors and suppliers list.
• Responsible of the international trading and doing the requested follow-up regarding orders lead time.
• Get the imported goods by the most efficient methods.
• Follow up the lead time and delivery date; follow up with the financial department to accomplish all sharing cases regarding L/Cs and money transfer.
• Have an experience in industrialization for several products related to office, home and hotels furniture and civil works as well.
• Finally, I'm in charge in the logistics issue (Import & Export) and the supply chain,
Have an experience in the international trading, as example we collect our goods from several destinations (ex-works from Canada, Malaysia, England, Italy, USA, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Taiwan, Japan, finally China),
Have an experience in exportation procedures, as export manager in the same company, we have delivered our products to UK, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE…etc.

• Lead the relationship with our international / local suppliers, to improve our business, and searching for the new products which serve our scope of work, to deliver added value to our clients.
Challenges and problems solving
During the last years of working based on projects, we have met many challenges and problems, and we have to deal with these challenges to reach the site hand over without any problems, and to meet our client’s requirements.
Import and export regulations changed many times and there are new decrees every day + production plans + client’s approval on finishes and colors…. etc.
My last international challenge at Ebony & Ivory was IBM project in Smart Village (Egypt).
it was a true international effort, products ordered with coordination between 3 destinations in different countries as one teamwork, all products shipped via air-freight from two destinations (Canada and Germany) in parallel to Egypt, contents of 100 workstations + seating + glass wall partitions, at the same time we start submitting the suppliers as an authorized suppliers to export their products to Egypt, it was a new decree taken by Egyptian authority, which we have to follow and deal with a bureaucratic system, and we have a very tight lead time and delivery date.
Finally, products delivered safe and installation accomplished as planned.
International fairs attendance & travel abroad.
Travel to Taiwan in a business trip, to make a deal with new supplier in 2011.
Travel to China to attend Canton Fair in 2012, to get new suppliers and to be updated with the new technology used in our field, then I made a deal to purchase new machineries for our factory during the exhibition, and got new suppliers to serve our needs from end products and accessories.
Travel to China to attend CIFF Exhibition in 2013 to get new agencies and new suppliers for accessories.
Travel to Germany in a business trip, to visit 2 factories and to make a deal with new suppliers in 2015.
Travel to Italy in a business trip, to visit 3 factories and to build new business relation with our new suppliers in 2015.
Travel to China to attend CIFF Exhibition in 2018, in this exhibition I made a deal to import industrial sewing machines from Germany, and it was a new step for our company to improve this section in our factory.
