I have been assigned additional responsibility as Regional Head of Saudi Arabia along with the Head of Finance for the Wavetec Group. Executing the business restructuring in Saudi Arabia catering tough economic and business environment.

Wavetec is a multinational Company, leading manufacturer of Electronic Queue Management Systems, Information Display Systems, KIOSK and Point of Sale devices having head office in Dubai and Companies in Riyadh, Nairobi, Karachi, Barcelona, Santiago, Lima and China with a number of distributors all around the world.

Being the Chief Financial Officer of the group, I am managing the accounts, finance, and supply chain departments of the Group Head Office in Dubai as well as all group Companies for the international operations. Currently there are 35 staff members (of different nationalities) in Dubai, Riyadh, Karachi, Nairobi, Santiago and China reporting to me. I was also involved in the implementation of ERP, SAP-Business One in my organization as Project Manager.

A briefing on my key responsibilities is as follows:
• Monitoring and reviewing business performances of all regions and devising strategy with the regional heads to achieve maximum performance in accordance with the local need of the relevant region/country.
• Managing and Supervising accounts & finance functions of all group Companies and managing relationships with the external auditors (KPMG & Crow Horwath).
• Supervising the Cash and Treasury management of the group and regions including the investments management of the staff retirement funds.
• Managing relationships with all group banks especially in Dubai, Pakistan and Nairobi with respect to Investments, Letter of Credits, Local & Off-Shore Bank Guarantees, Financing, Mortgages, leases etc.
• Project finance management especially overseeing the financial and commercial aspects of the World Bank, USAID and European Commission funded projects in Africa and Eastern Europe.
• Built efficiency and improvements in various existing systems, procedures and practices to bring effectiveness, efficiency and improved controls.
• Company secretary of group companies in Dubai, Karachi, Nairobi and China taking care of all taxation, transfer pricing, corporate and regulatory affairs in accordance with the relevant country’s legal requirement.
• Setting and monitoring the supply chain department for inventory management, procurement (both local and foreign), logistics and specially the outbound aspect of supply chain.

Achievement:- I have restructured the whole financing facilities of the company with the five large financial institutions of the country.

I have also been deputed to DELOITTE - RIYADH OFFICE on secondment during the tenure of my articleship. I have been associated as a part of team as well as team leader and performed various annual and interim audits for the local and foreign Companies.
