Responsible for all PO related tasks and activities as per P2P cycle for the MRO
items at foreign markets with supervising capabilities for Procurement buyers in
relevant job.
- Adhere to implement the overall strategy of local procurement
guidelines to ensure that all work undertaken meets the company
needs as per time & specifications.
- Monitor & receive daily purchase requests for all departments and
verify the completeness of data by communicating the concerned
department in case any clarification /modifications are required.
- Determine purchase requests priorities and the time required to
fulfill each request.
- Send RFQ’s (Request for Quotation) to the potential suppliers,
study offers & negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and
quality to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
- Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to
determine the best bid among suppliers and considering the
delivery time is suitable to the concerned department needs.
- Issue Purchase orders and make sure purchases are approved and
matching the purchase requirements and policy.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on- time delivery, high quality
deliveries and contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries
and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other
problems.
- Follow up on delivering the purchased items to the concerned
department to ensure the purchase requirements match the
purchase order and coordinate with users, vendors and
warehouses to determine corrective actions in case of defective or
unacceptable goods or services.
- Build up a portfolio of approved suppliers and search for new
suppliers able to deliver high quality products at competitive
prices.
- Evaluate the suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service
support, availability, reliability, production & distribution
capability and supplier’s reputation and history and update
- Make sure the purchasing document cycle has been closed, follow
up with suppliers & finance the invoices and payments, to ensure
submitting invoices by vendor to the finance department to timely
organize the payment process.
- Conduct meetings with the department personnel & heads to
access needs, solve routine/non-routine procurement related
problems, disseminate information, and explain regulations,
policies and procedures.
- Keep high communication channel with foreign suppliers and
monitor shipments dates to ensure that goods come on time and
resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
- Coordinate the receipt of the goods with the logistic department to
ensure the shipment is identical with purchase order and follow up
with Customs & Clearance division on deliveries.
- Responsible for the follow-up of the company’s credits & payments
position with foreign suppliers through leading & organizing the
foreign payment process.
- Lead and support procurement teams for the new Change
Requests for SAP modules & initiatives to be implemented on SAP,
in addition to lead the upgrade for user's profiles and solve
problems facing SAP users in MM module.
- Update & maintain document backup process (Hard/Soft Copy) of
items purchased and ensure the security of data & information
according to policy.
- Ensure full compliance to the company “Purchase to Pay “,
“Control Requirements”, & “Code of Conduct “Policies
Measures:
Achieve the following KPI’s on Monthly basis:
- % of Aged PRs over 30 days to deliver PO.
- PR-PO days and Compliance Index as per SLA
- % of Aged Open POs over 30 days
- % of OTD
- Supplier Pending Payment reduction through Financial Statement
- End-user & Supplier Management
