Project: Hamad International Airport Expansion.
A. The project scope of work included: Electrical systems and ELV systems for buildings, airfield, subgrade distribution works, Electrical prime station 66KV/11KV, sub-stations 11KV/410V, vehicles tunnel extension and pumps stations. Designs were prepared on GIS methods in the open field for the equipment and subgrade works
B. The department deliverables were; design blue prints and maintain proper as-built drawings
C. Systems covered under the project scope of work:
▪ Electrical distribution system and electrical control panels, (Switchgears, MCC, SDB, DB, cabling and raceways),
▪ UPS (Uninterruptable power supply), DRUPS (Dynamic rotary UPS) and Generators. fire alarm, security, CCTV, BMS, A-VDGS (Airplanes gate parking system),
▪ Airplanes ground power units (115Vac/400Hz),
▪ Airplane ground HVAC units, weather station, high mast airport lighting.
▪ Telecommunication: (Horizontal and vertical structure cabling within the buildings)
• Lead the Electrical and Mechanical design engineering department. Manage day to day works and delegating responsibilities to staff • Reviewed; the production of the shop drawings plans, subcontracting companies, and ensure competitions within the time frame planned. Supervised a team of 4 engineers and 20 draftsmen
• Established construction, manufacturing, and installation standards and specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations
• Coordinated MEP installations with other trades and among with the other discipline’s colleagues, to develop a coordinated trade shop drawing
• Performed the required electrical, ELV, control and lighting predesign verifications/calculations. Verified all systems SLD, distribution plans, control diagrams, electrical switchboards and MCC panels
