• Inspection of work area and activities to ensure compliance to SSW, method statements and drawings.
• Identify hazards and assessing the risk of exposure, ensure adequate control measures are in place.
• Ensure welfare facilities are in place for workers, adequate and well maintained.
• Report various work-site hazards, risk assessment and control measures designed to mitigate such.
• Assist junior safety officers to manage work areas.
• Coordinate with construction team to ensure compliance to QCS regulations and safe system of work.

• Ensure people follow safe system of work procedures and in accordance to method statement/risk assessment of the activity to be carried out.
• Site inspection to ensure validity of permits, cancellation or renewal
• Ensure welfare facilities like portable toilets, clean drinking water and rest shelters are adequately provided at site and neat.
• Assist in giving Inn-House trainings to workers.
• Identify and report various work-site hazards and perform risk assessment designed to mitigate such.
• Ensure safety signage and posters are properly displayed on site and flammable items are safely stored and secured with safety warnings.
• Carrying out risk assessment and control especially on meeting /event rooms before use and monitoring during events.
• Ensuring safety rules and standards are not breached by guest, visitors or staff.
• Carrying out regular inspections/checks on safety equipments such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, water sprinklers, emergency signs, CCTV cameral etc. and reporting any defect for rectification.
• Report writing and sending of mails on the happenings during the shift.
• Giving safety briefing to contractors and guest before starting their work or program as the case may be.
• Giving first aid to injured guest, staff, visitors or contractors.
• Arrange and conducting fire safety training to staff/colleagues on regular basis.
• Proper surveillance of floors and premises through CCTV and patrol.
• Assisting in traffic control within the company premises.
• Assisting in reviewing of CCTV footages for investigation purposes.
• Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect job site activities at all time.
• Ensure safety signage and posters are properly displayed on site and flammable items are safely stored and secured with safety warnings.
• Monitor contractors when performing hot work activities and ensure safe conditions, environment with appropriate fire extinguisher at hand.
• Anticipate, identify, and ensure the correction of hazardous conditions and practices.
• Create and produce systems to facilitate compliance with policies, industry standards, and regulations.
• Monitor all lifting equipments, their certifications and inspections of validity.
• Identify and report various work-site hazards, and perform risk assessments designed to mitigate such.
