• Manages procurement for the technical & engineering category in the region.
• Takes part in preparing collaborative demand planning meetings and integrates
the resulting decisions into the purchase plan.
• Lead & Supervise the team (junior buyers & assistants).
• Maintains & manage the proactive relation with the requesters.
• Implements the ICRC's strategic orientations for purchasing by translating them
into operational planning and activities.
• Source and identify potential suppliers. Develops/maintains the supplier
database . Conducts market survey to keep abreast of market developments and
availability of goods and services.
• Negotiate suppliers for commercial aspects such as payment terms, lead time,
and service level.
• Review contracts commercially and add needed comments if necessary.
• Select the proper method of commitment & complying with the Bylaw.
• Ensures regular supplier evaluation visits, confirming social compliance & ability
to deliver quality goods/services.
- Participate in Enhancing & developing Procurement procedures.
- Prepare business case studies for RJ Departments’ demands and assisting in building the forecast based on the historical info. And trend.
- Source and identify potential suppliers for assigned commodities.
- Prepare RFI, RFQ, and RFP.
- Prepare, evaluate & set recommendations for proposals.
- Negotiate suppliers for commercial aspects such as payment terms, lead time, and service level.
- Review contracts commercially and add needed comments if necessary.
- Select the proper method of commitment in the form of PO, LOI complying with the Bylaw.
Issue LCs and BG when needed to secure RJ position.
- Perform Pre-delivery inspections visits and prepares reports.
- Coordinate the National Program (Faculty for Factory)
- Establish and develop connections with Jordanian industry and business.
- Participate in projects implementation with Japanese experts at Jordanian factories.
- Participate in developing connections with funding organizations for projects implementation.
- Design and specify training programs that meet industrial sector needs.
