• Follow and ensure the implementation of HSE management systems across multiple
sites, ensuring the compliance with BPs Safe Work System (COW) and international
safety standards.
• Establish and review HSE policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with
ISO 45001, ISO 14001, local & international regulatory requirements.
• Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate
potential hazards, achieving a significant reduction in incidents.
• Develop and provide comprehensive HSE training programs on safety topics such
as working at height, confined spaces, H2S, lifting operations, and hazardous
materials, enhancing workforce safety awareness.
• Manage and ensure the implementation of the Permit To Work (PTW) system across
all project, operations and shutdown periods.
• Conduct and review Task Risk Assessments (TRA), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and
Operational Risk Assessments (ORA) in coordination with frontline teams and
supervisors.
• Lead accident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA), implementing corrective
actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety protocols.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE reports, analysing incident trends and
ensuring accurate reporting to senior management.
• Ensure all projects contactors are complying with the company HSE standards,
policies, guidelines, procedures, standards, and regulations of site.
• Participate in contractor technical evaluations, HSE tender reviews, and
prequalification processes to ensure adherence to high HSE standards in procurement
and execution.
• Providing expert input to procurement teams on protective equipment selection,
vendor qualification, and purchasing specifications, ensuring optimal balance
between quality, safety, and cost.
• Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and evacuation procedures,
and conducting regular drills while serving as an Emergency Response and Triage
Team member.

• Maintain the site HSE management system, ensuring compliance with Algerian and
international health and safety regulations.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety stand-downs, promoting best practices and
fostering a culture of safety among site personnel.
• Monitor and manage permits to work (PTW), ensuring safe operational practices
during high-risk activities such as welding, confined space entry, and lifting
operations.
• Conduct gas testing for confined spaces and classified areas, validating safety
protocols before work commencement.
• Conduct daily site visits to identify hazards, incidents, and near misses, driving
continuous improvement in safety performance.
• Ensure all projects contactors are complying with HSE standards, policies, guidelines,
procedures, standards, and regulations of site.
• Actively participate in accident investigations, contributing to safety reviews and
actionable recommendations.
• Play a key role during shutdown periods by reinforcing a strong safety culture and
ensuring all contractors adhered to safe work practices.

• Manage HSE legislation and safety equipment requirements, including emergency
systems and PPE, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support management in implementing HSE procedures and maintaining regulatory
compliance.
• Conduct incident investigations, prepared detailed reports, and identified lessons
learned to improve safety performance.
• Perform HSE audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to company safety
requirements.
• Oversaw fire equipment inspection, testing, and maintenance, ensuring operational
readiness.
