Sabha Salem Kuwait University, Al-Shadadiyah is ongoing construction program and is going to be one of the largest educational campuses in the world. The aim of the project includes enterprise GIS for capturing, storing, managing & publishing GIS data for monitor the construction program. It includes interior GIS programs with capabilities of 2D & 3D visualization of master plan, floor plans & structural features and other utility services. It allows space plan and utilization based on by size, type, and even proximity of the facilities.
The project is primarily developed using Esri Desktop and Server Technologies. With integrated solution of web and desktop application using software from ESRI, Telvent i.e. ArcFM for electric and water utilities, Telecordia Network Engineer for Telecom Utility and Archibus for Asset Management and Building Operations.
Responsibility
•Database Analysis and Data Management Consultancy.
* Delivering GIS data, GIS Maps and data extraction from GIS as per the client requirements.
* Analysis the GIS Data using the tools(eg., Geoprocessing tools ) and deliver the output to the client.
* Develops and update the QA and QC procedures and guidelines for all GIS related activities.
* QA/QC of the GIS Data submitted by the vendor and to confirm with the prescribed guidelines.
* Collaborating with the discipline engineer to create, validate, update and deliver the requirement.
* GIS Compatibility analysis of design / shop data/Asbuilt (AutoCAD drawing, Pdf, etc., ) and giving recommendation and workshop to the subcontractors for the data improvement.
* Spatial analyst on the raster data and producing the result as per the client requirement.
* Technical discussion with the clients and other contractors for enhancing the data quality and giving feedback to the contractors for data improvement.
* Creating / updating and publishing the web map and Webapp.
* Guidance to the Kuwait University students in their project work.
• Implementing the Pipeline Integrity Management Solution using GIS.
• Data Migration from FEED (Front End Engineering Design), Asbuilt drawing to the GIS environment as per the PODS data model.
• Identify feasible Pipeline routing using available information like satellite imagery, survey reports etc.,
• Identify the suitable corridor for pipeline routing to minimize the cost by utilizing the existing Pipeline facilities eg., pipeline support, CP station.,
• Identify and preparing the crossing schedule along the pipe line route (eg., Wadi crossing, road crossing, etc., )
• Extract elevation information along the pipeline route using the spot image to identify the abrupt variation in elevation level and giving suggestion for pipeline rerouting for cost optimization.
• Documenting the report as per the client requirement.
* GIS data compilation and maintain the data integrity.
* Provide advanced GIS analysis solution and manage the KOC GIS assets.
* Creating three-dimensional visualizations of GIS Data (Pipelines) using Arc GIS extension 3d Analyst and Arc Scene.
* Developed and documented QA/QC process from raw to production data by discovering new issues, determining optimal solution and improving workflow.
* Coordinating with the developer and providing inputs to the real-time mapping applications (eg., Gas leaking system application)
* Creating maps for field operation.
* Prepared statistical reports and presented the statistical analysis results.
* Participating in the meetings with clients and project-related committees.
• Image processing and extracting ROI using Cartosat image and IRS 1D image.
• Image fusion of IRS 1D with Cartosat 1 image for better spatial and spectral resolution.
• Identifying patterns, trends and relationship within environmental data using spatial analysis.
• Perform remote sensing analysis to monitor changes in land use and vegetation.
• QA/QC of the data as per the guidelines.
• GPS Survey for ground truth and validating the data.
• Generating statistical reports regarding land use / land cover classification.
• Thematic Map Production according to cartographic principles.
• Documenting the report as per the client requirement.
Project based on "Impact of Urbanisation on Land Surface Temperature. The project deals with how the urbanisation impacted the land use and land cover changes and how the changes impacted the surface temperature using the remote sensing and GIS technique.
