•Procurement, imports and inventory management of large volume of vehicle spare parts from principal vendors across Japan, USA, Europe, Thailand and India
•Vendor management, close coordination with Vendors for managing import documentation and prompt follow up with freight forwarders/shipping lines for smooth shipment arrival within minimum lead time.
•Timely Shipment Tracking and managing Customs Clearance Documentations and follow up with clearance agents and shipping lines in order to ensure hassle free customs clearance process at the Port within the specified Validity Period.
•Negotiation with Freight Forwarders for optimum freight quotes from loading point, liaising with Shipping Lines and Clearance Agents.
•Ensuring internal customer relationship by providing accurate information to the parts sales team and service team on material arrival and receipts.
•Logistics Management and transportation coordination of shipments from Free Zone Port to destination by coordinating with logistics providers, pre alerting Warehouse on incoming shipments and coordination for prompt inwarding of materials.
•Extensive knowledge and experience in Port and Free Zone Operations.
•Managing SAP database with Material Master Data creation and maintenance, Processing Purchase Requisitions and orders, Purchase order and Inbound Delivery creation for receipt of materials in Warehouse, material info record data maintenance, materials transfer coordination within all branches in Oman.
•Interacting with Warehouse for closure of SED claims (shortage, excess and damage), processing claims and taking up with principal vendors in case of shortage, wrong content or price difference of parts and ensuring receipt of credit notes by coordinating with the vendors.
•Effective liaison with different departments such as Sales, Finance : for accounts payable management and IT Department.
Spares In charge at TVS & Sons Ltd (Mahindra & Mahindra Dealership), Maradu, Kochi.- for 6 retail outlets around Kochi.The job profile included meeting the spare parts demand and requirements of the Region promptly on a day to day basis and planning the Inventory Management in such a way that all the parts demand is met with ready or prompt supply of the same. Also to focus on man management and make the team of Workshop Controllers, Body-shop managers, Floor supervisors and Parts Store team work in proper synchronization in order to give quick and prompt services to the customers. Experience in activities including spare parts procurement, parts ordering, material receiving, and store maintenance, claiming of damaged parts, issuing stock transfers and dispatching spare parts in all Kerala service basis. Underwent five months training at TVS & Sons Ltd Warehouse in Aluva, Kerala. Familiar with various warehouse operations including store management, claim, material inward and outward activities.
• Project- Manufacture of biofuel using waste cooking oil. The project offered an economically viable and cost effective method to convert used cooking oil into biodiesel for automobile and other use. Biodiesel is produced through transesterification in which Potassium hydroxide and methanol are mixed with heated used cooking oil to generate biodiesel and glycerin. The project was appreciated in intercollegiate exhibitions for simplicity, economy and current relevance. • Seminar- Black Box for vehicles
