Construction/Maintenance Superintendent
A key member of the project team responsible for overseeing the recovery of flared gas in the Zubair gas fields in Basra Iraq. My first few trips were to overhaul and bring back to operational Shell standered several reciprocating gas compressors that had been laid idle for a number of years due to the lack of spare parts.
Responsible for monitoring subcontractor carrying out the installation of six reciprocating compressors driven by six-cylinder gas engines to enable the low-pressure gas to be compressed to 40 bar so it can be processed by the gas plants to return facility to full operational capability.



 Successfully supervised the construction of a new booster compression plant in South Rumelia comprising of 3 GE frame5002 gas turbines driving Novo Pignone BCL 606/BCL 456 tandem compressors plus all the auxiarly equipment. This included Fin Fan inter and after coolers, HCS Gear boxer’s Air Comps Broom Wade Gas compressor Atlas and Wausheka Gas Engines.
 Supervised the erection of all the pipe bridges steel work and the turbine house steel work plus the installation of the overhead cranes.
 Analyzed and maintained all reported project activities emphasizing items such as scope variations, the value of work done, slipped tasks, upcoming tasks, and actual hours vs. planned hours.
 Monitoring progress, recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment in line with project requirements ensuring the safe testing and commissioning of all equipment.
 Mechanical completions of all site equipment and transferred over to the Pre/Commissioning
 Start up team for final hand over to operations.

SATORP Export Refinery at Saudi Aramco/Total Joint venture.

Ultimately responsible for the installation of all the rotating equipment and auxiliary associated equipment associated with key utilities package 5B for the refinery. Also responsible for refinery construction covering lube oil consoles, fin fan units and pipe work. Attended SATs and FATs.
 Conducted the initial site readiness inspections to ensure that facilities were properly constructed to comply with regulations prior to commissioning activities.
 Established a reputation for the ability to develop strong relationships and work well with contractors from diverse cultural backgrounds on various aspects of the commissioning project.
 Coordinating testing and commissioning activities and providing advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation.
 During the course of project, was reassigned to the pre-commissioning team to ensure all rotating equipment was commissioned in line with facility requirements. Oversaw pre-commissioning for lube oil flushing of compressors, steam turbine boiler air blowers boiler feed water pumps. Final alignments of pumps, gear boxes, turbines, generators. Using the reverse alignment method.

Responsible as company representative for the conversion of a 100, 000 barrel storage tanker to a 30/35, 000 bpd FPSO, procured to operate off Gabon, West Africa. Supported the establishment of vessels maintenance department in addition to the creation of an AMOS CMMS system.
• Planned, scheduled and estimated project activity times, sequencing activities from concept to completion.
• Ensured all systems were designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements.
• Monitored and participated in operations in assigned sections including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, negotiating prices and inspecting contractor's work to ensure that safe work practices were followed.
