The main mandate of the ministry is to ensure that the UAE is providing the most effective development and humanitarian advice and assistance possible by: developing foreign aid policy and strategy; cooperating with global actors; ensuring alignment with global themes and standards; documenting and measuring the impact of national efforts; and building the capacity of UAE donors and partner countries.
Main Duties and Achievements:
• Proposed, analysis and managed of the “UAE Aid Portal - GIS” project, which is a comprehensive information management system solution with GIS and BI integration. The project is one of MICAD operational plan activities, and added as a strategic initiative to support the national agenda, smart government and MICAD priority services for 2017-2021.
• Proposed and managed “MICAD GIS Service”: Scope of works entailed to create, update and maintain the MICAD Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database, ensure the data quality, completeness and timely update; Prepare and design on demand GIS maps for more than GIS maps for more than 45 UAE donor/organization.
• Member of the UAE Foreign Aid Data Management team: Developed the UAE Foreign Aid Standards and Guidelines; insured that all data records were complying with the standards; reviewed the UAE Foreign Aid Policy and Strategy.
• Member of UAE Foreign Aid reports (2010 to 2015) team: Led the data analysis and report design including infographics, charts and GIS maps; involved in data quality control, report editing and proof reading.
• The coordinator of MICAD Technical support team for the UAE Committee for the Coordination of Foreign Humanitarian Aid
• Developed Dozens of presentations, token points, infographics, many of which were published in local and international newspaper.
• I was in-charge of the Global Early Warning Service during which I analyzed huge data of global emergencies; ensured the timely and quality publications
• Established a set of reporting tools to be disseminated among the UAE humanitarian actors, relevant international humanitarian community, the senior management, and the appropriate UAE government entities.
• I was in-charge of the Coordination and Response Section (2014 - 2015): Lead the section to ensure the achievement of its objects and KPIs. The main achievements included the Responding to Emergencies Policy and Guideline, and developing the UAE response plans for major humanitarian emergencies, coordinating and building the capacity of the UAE humanitarian and charitable organization.
• Ensure the UAE DAC\ODA annual reporting to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and on time reporting of humanitarian assistance to the OCHA Financial Tracking Service (FTS).

• Build, organizes, manipulate, and maintain the UAQ Cadastral Geodatabase.
• Lead the GIS data entry, data QC team, to insure the right using of conversion and entry tools to import data from various sources including paper maps, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs and CAD.

• Scope of works included to plan, design, develop and maintain a consolidated Spatial Mapping database.
• Works entailed Compilation of geographic data from a variety of sources including census, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, CAD data and existing maps.
• Developed GIS software applications, writing code, testing and debugging.
• Analysed business models and assisted in implementing and upgrading ERP systems
• Developed and implemented GIS customized trainings courses including GeoDatabase, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Network Analyst, Model Builder and Geodatabase Topology.
Main projects:
• Integrated Waste Management of Olive Oil Extraction Facilities in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan using GIS: This project was in association with UNDP, SMAP (Europe Aid), and the ministries of environment in the above mentioned countries.
• Consultancy services for the GIS Center in the Governorate of Damascus: Training the staff of the GIS Center; Building a Geocoding addresses service for Damascus
• Regional Planning Project for Rural Damascus, Syria, the project scope included: geodatabase design, data collection, convert all raster maps and CAD data to GIS, spatial analysis and design of maps and reports to support decision makers.
• Cadastral Management project, Hanawai municipalities, Lebanon: Analysed, designed and developed Site-Plan project, include creating the geodatabase and data collection and conversion.
