Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Group Head and managing 3 staff, responsible to design, develop and conduct the
Internal Audit Strategy for the Bank including procedures, work programs and risk-based audit plans for
approval by senior management.
• Definition of the Internal Audit methodology including Audit Charter, Audit Manual, Internal Audit
Standards, Policies and Procedures and Internal Audit reporting templates.
• Conduct Internal Audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of established internal
controls and procedures.
• Follow up on the implementation of management actions as recommended by the audit reports.
• Monitor performance of audit team member and control the financial budgets for the internal audit
function.

Responsibilities:
• Reported to the Audit, Compliance & Risk Committee, managed 7 staff and responsible to lead the
Internal Audit function for the firm including charters, internal audit opinions, risk, monitoring and audit
investigations and report on all action and audit reports to the Audit Committee.
• Draft the Internal Audit Charter for the Bank ensuring compliance to international standards and
participation in the preparation of the Annual Corporate Governance Report.
• Provide the Audit Committee with an Opinion on the effectiveness of internal controls for the firm.
• Preparation of risk-based Annual Audit Plan detailing the scope, nature, timing and reports of all audit
activities.
• Compliance and implementation of current International Standards for the Professional Practice of
Internal Auditing issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
• Liaison with the External Auditor on internal control issues and monitor audit trends and developments
for continual improvement to global standards.
• Identification of key risk areas and propose appropriate controls to mitigate risks.
• Monitor and report on management actions to be implemented and recommended in audit reports.
• Conduct ad-hoc audit investigations and reviews, as requested by the Audit Committee and communicate
results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and presentations to the Audit Committee and
Senior Management.
• Investigate professional development opportunities for the staff through training, professional association
memberships and sharing of information.
• Preparing the following policies and procedures : Conflict of Interest Policy \ Corporate Governance
Framework\Anti-Fraud Policy\ Communication Policy\ Whistle Blowing Policies & Procedures\ Code of
Ethics \ Personal Account Dealing Policy \ Procedures for Updating Strategies, Policies, Procedures,
Forms and Contracts.
• Preparing the annual, semi-annual, quarterly announcement for the BOD, Executive Mangers and Staff
regarding the Prohibition of Insider Trading.
• Coordinate with \ between QCB, QFMA inspectors, External Auditors and bank's management and
preparing the responses for their findings.
• Advising and guiding management and staff on regulatory and Compliance matters including FATCA
regulations

Founded in 1983, Ahli Bank is a leading Qatari financial institution that serves individual consumers, small
businesses and corporate customers with a range of Corporate Banking, Retail & Private Banking, Treasury
& Investments, International Banking and Brokerage Services.
Reported to the Head of Finance, managed 15 staff and responsible for preparation of financial
statements, budgets, variance reporting, cash reserves, investment portfolio analysis and reports.
• Preparation of notes and variance analysis for daily financial statements for the Chairman and Executive
Management.
• Preparation of the annual budget including reporting on budget variances.
• Management of the monthly cash reserve for QCB and follow up on the bank’s ceiling limits, including
various monthly reporting.
• Preparation of the bank’s investment portfolio analysis and report to the Qatar Central Bank.
• Preparation of the bad debt calculation, interest on suspense accounts; write off provisions and necessary
reconciliations.
• Coordination with internal auditors in relation to financial control issues.
