Al-Abbas Group is one of the reputed Business Groups of Pakistan having business interests in the Sugar and Cement Industries. Currently working as Manager Treasury for all group companies.
Responsibilities Include:
• Responsible for arrangement and monitoring of short term and long term financing.
• Catering financing requirements of all group companies and placement of funds for optimum returns.
• Ensuring better of utilization of cash resources so as to keep the borrowing costs at a minimum level.
• Full responsibility of managing the Group’s liquidity positions.
• Forecasting, Preparing and Managing Cash Flows.
• Providing adequate support to Accounting department for payments and related issues.
• Managing trade finance transactions.
• Analysing exposures and initiating short term and strategic hedging actions in line with company objectives.
• Keeping track of Foreign Exchange Exposure.
• Providing adequate support to accounts dept for payments and related issues
• Administration and Investment of Employee Benefit Funds.
• Ensuring that all documentation relating to financial arrangements are timely completed and updated.
• Coordination with other departments for preparation of Budgets.
• Day to day correspondence with Banks and Financial Institutions.
• Maintaining Cordial Business relationship with Banks and lending institutions.
• Negotiating and Arrangement of all Insurances across the Group.
• Preparation of different reports as per the requirement of Management/Board of Directors.
• Supervision of Treasury Department Staff.
Joined Bank Alfalah Limited as Management Trainee Officer (MTO) and took 3.5 months training in the areas of Operations, Trade Finance and Credits (Advances). Worked as Relationship Manager - Corporate & Investment Banking.
Responsibilities Include:
• Identifying and establishing new relationships, consistent with the Bank’s objectives.
• Networking with key players of the market so as to remain updated on the opportunities arising.
• Remaining abreast with the market, industry and regulatory developments.
• Analysis of Financial Statements and Preparation of Credit Proposals.
• Evaluating the Risk Ratings of Potential and Existing Customers.
• Handling portfolio of corporate customers in excess of PKR 2.000 Billion.
• Advising customers about different products of Advances and recommending the best according to their requirements.
• Structuring deals tailored to customers’ need.
• Day to day correspondence with the customers and resolving their banking operational issues.
• Monthly reporting to Group Office - CIBG.
DHL Global Forwarding (Formerly Exel) is multinational Company engaged in Freight Management and Supply Chain Soulutions. Joined as HR & General Affairs Officer, promoted to HR & General Affairs Exeuctive within one year with a raise in salary.
Responsibilities Included:
• Preparation of Company Payroll.
• Monthly reporting to regional office in Singapore.
• Coordination with Govt Agencies.
• Managing PF Books of Accounts.
• Assisting in the Administration function.
Worked for 2 years in this reputed firm of Chartered Accountants as an Audit Trainee. Was posted to different clients for audit assignments which included reputed national and multinational companies.
Completed Masters with "First Division"
