PROJECT DETAILS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Digitization of Towns:
The data conversion was done for various important cities of Kerala like Trivandrum, Kochi, Kozhikode etc. This conversion of raster image into vector image i.e. digitization was done by acquiring the Google Earth satellite image (raster) from the server and digitizing various features like roads, buildings, water bodies, landmarks, open areas, junctions etc. with the input Boundary. Based on these features final map layout was made. Responsibilities include production, maintenance work and also quality check.
2) Georeferencing:
The land use map of Trivandrum city was georeferenced with that of the survey map with the help of control points. Then the various areas of land use like residential, agriculture, commercial, industrial etc. were marked onto the survey map. Responsibilities include production, maintenance work and also quality check.
3) Trivandrum Monorail Feasibility Project (NATPAC):
An important NH road where the monorail proposed was digitized. On either side of the road features like buildings, trees, bridges, junctions, etc. were vectorized. Based on these features final map layout was made. Responsibilities include production, maintenance work and also quality check.
4) Digitizing NH and SH Roads of India:
The vectorization of various NH and SH roads of various states of India were done. Responsibilities include production, maintenance work and also quality check.
5) Remote Sensing-Classification of Sugarcane Crop (ISMA):
The data was gathered on sugarcane acreage and yield with the help of satellite mapping. Using the remote sensing tool, from the satellite image the sugarcane crop is classified. Responsibilities include production, maintenance work and also quality check.
