Provide input and support for the safe conduct of work by contractor personnel during normal maintenance/ shutdowns of GTL plant and associated utility equipment.
* Ensure company shutdown HSE Plan is adhered.
* To understand the scope of the project
* Ensure proper & smooth coordination with company safety officers.
* Ensure all Personnel safety training (H2S/ BA, PTW, Fire 7 Safety Watches, Security Training, etc) are completely and necessary valid certificates are available at site.
* Ensures company PTW procedures & all safety procedures are followed by contractor personnel
* Conducts regular work site safety Inspections/ audits/ walk abouts
* Participates in incident management during accidents and emergencies
* Participates in Incident Investigations following any incidents.
* Assists safety department with audits during shutdowns.
* To prepare/ review JSA for each job
* To ensure risks for using tools/ tackles, working at heights etc. are addressed to all personnel involved in work at site.
* To ensure performing parties delivers daily tool box talk and that it is documented.
* To ensure the right quality of PPE are being supplied and used.
* Ensure submission of daily safety reports
* Ensures coordination between various divisions, sections and disciplines during shutdown execution, to ensure that all act in harmony for smooth execution of shutdown.
* Overlook the functions of the access control system
* Give guidance to the traffic guards if required
* Be prepared to learn/ conduct the initial gas testing for a confined space entry.
Contribute to development of new techniques and standards;
• Design and structure in HSE program implementation.

Inhouse Training for Industrial Employees
Provide hands on training in safety to your employees and make them prepared to deal with any unfortunate eventuality that might occur in the future. Inorder to be effiective in imparting training I used the following.
Carry out the site surveys, in association with the project management team, to ensure that only safe methods of working are in operations and all regulations are being observed.
• Determine the cause of and accident or dangerous occurrence and recommend means of preventing reoccurrence.
• Supervise the recording and analysis of information on injuries, damage and loss, assess accident trends and review overall safety performances.
• Assist with safety/environment induction and training of all levels of employees on the project
• Promote awareness of injury prevention and environmental protection and damage controls to all levels of employees.
• Provide feedback on new HSE policies or procedures adopted
• Maintain contact with authorities, officials and professional bodies.
• Keep up-to- date with recommended codes of practices and new safety /environment literature and circulate information applicable to each level of employees
Implement procedures for air quality monitoring;
`• Maintain industrial hygiene survey records and equipment calibration logs;
• Provide or coordinate hazard-specific training for personnel who work with hazardous materials or carcinogens;
• Recommend engineering or administrative controls to prevent personnel exposure to chemical & physical hazards;
• Review plans for new operations and significant changes to ongoing operations that involve hazardous materials;

Test and mark hazard control ventilation systems, and maintain associated database of such systems.
Undertake daily inspection tours in areas of responsibility to ensure implementation of, and adherence to the procedures set out in HSE management system, and project HSE plan and procedures.
Reporting the HSE nonconformities to the management and suggesting their rectifications, maintain records on non compliance reports.
Identify training and development needs and communicate these to the HSE training section. Seek approval for appropriate programs and participate in their implementation.
Assist Deputy HSE manager in conducting risk assessment on the project.
Monitor and report the recording, analysis of information on injuries, damage and production loss, assess accident trends and review overall safety performances.
Ensure all workforce members are fully aware of all access routes, emergency alarms emergency exits, muster points and emergency evacuation procedure.
Ensure emergency equipment in place and maintained. Coordinate and participate in emergency drills to ensure that procedures are workable and effective.
Undertake daily site safety inspection.
Take remedial action on identified hazards and prepare reports.
Complete daily activity sheets. Provide on-the-job training to subordinates.
Participate in rotation programme.
Comply with Safety regulation enforced by the client or government.
