Field Operations Manager for Sonahess Organization (JV Sonatrach - Hess), coordinating oil Plant and fields operations activities of El Gassi Brownfields in Hassi Messaoud Basin, region of Algeria, reporting to the Operations Manager. I’m responsible for the overall safe and efficient day to day operations including plant, well production, well operations, and projects activities by:

•Managing day to day safe operations on processing plant and wells with producing 45, 000bopd of oil & condensate, treating & injecting 150 million cfpd of gas and 65, 000bwpd of water, and supporting process team in troubleshooting operational issues
•Working on processing facilities debottlenecking, and assisting in-house engineering team in multi-discipline revamping projects and modifications to El Gassi oil Brownfields, provide guidance to supervision teams in engineering and construction performed by contractors
•Providing assistance and support to production engineers on well production and operations: artificial lifting engineering & implementation, well performance review, production optimization, stimulation, coil tubing, workover, welltesting, slickline, wireline, MPLT, fishing, well integrity, and maintenance of flowline & wellhead
•Ensuring procedures and instructions for all operation activities are prepared and understood by the personnel, and performed in compliance with HSE policies and procedures
•Working with corrosion team to ensure a good contractor management on the treatment and the monitoring of corrosion. Participating in the selection of chemical products through evaluation of supplier’s proposal, and lab & field tests of their products
•Working closely with Inspection team on work planning preparation, supervision of various inspection performed by contractor and assisting in implementing new inspection technologies by experts to improve equipment and pipeline network integrity
•Ensuring curative and preventive maintenance completion on the plant according to schedule. Ensuring availability of material and spare parts through a min-max stock level management
•Participating in plant pre-shutdown meeting and providing support on shutdown operation
•Checking and approving daily production reports, weekly internal reports and monthly reports to partners and relevant governmental authorities
•Overseeing Opex and Capex operations budgets, submitting them to partners approval and managing them in accordance with budget expectations
•Working closely with Training Department to ensure assessment and improvement of personnel competences in processing, wells operations, and in HSE topics
•Participating in QRA and HAZOP studies
•Promoting HSE behavior. Participating in the development and implementation of HSE systems to deliver continuous improvement. Ensuring compliance to HSE procedures through PTW system for all plant and field activities
•Working closely with HR team for Operations organization review, resources forecast & recruitment, and personnel career development
•Working closely with procurement and logistics teams on technical bid evaluation review and approval, scope of work preparation, services and material contracts preparation & management

•Prepare project identification, opportunity and participate in feasibility studies and FEED’s
•Managing projects execution in terms of budgeting, planning & scheduling, engineering, scope of work, bid evaluation, purchasing, construction, commissioning, startup & and handover
•Prepare and monitor department budget and exercise department financial tasks
•Develop and approve procedures. Provide technical support to other departments in trouble shooting operational problems and propose solutions including appropriate changes to oil and gas processing facilities through management of change procedures
•Review and approve engineering development and assist in construction supervision for capital and brownfield projects performed by contractors with ensuring compliance with project specification, and quality & HSE requirements. Investigate and participate in resolving project execution problems
•Direct and assist multi-discipline engineers in engineering activities performed in house for small projects and processing facilities modifications, in terms of design, material specification and procurement, fabrication and installation of Piping, pipeline, static and rotating equipment
•Participate in HAZOPs studies and QRAs
Conduct project review meetings on weekly and monthly basis with contractors, monitor work progress and cost reports regarding engineering and construction activities. Review and approve required recovery plan and prepare periodic reports for Management
•Validate material inspection & tests procedure and coordinate with contractors, vendors and other third parties for fabrication inspection, and factory & site acceptance tests
•Ensure plant and projects documents are updated and maintained
•Work closely with procurement department for, prequalification of contractors and vendors, contract process: scope of work preparation, bid evaluation, awarding, amendment, approve payment, discuss and resolve claims, and closeout contract

Senior Production Engineer working for Ourhoud Organization responsible for well operations reporting to Subsurface Manager

•Prepare Invitation to Bid documents and perform technical and commercial bid evaluations for well equipment and well services
•Participate in the commissioning of well surface facilities relevant to Ourhoud EPC project, in wells and process plant start-up
•Plan, supervise and report well operations activities including well testing, PLT, slickline, Perforating, Coiled Tubing, interference tests, well completion, Fraccing, wellhead equipment maintenance
•Design and implement temporary surface installation to perform long water Injectivity tests

Project Manager / Project Engineer with National Office for Irrigation (ONID) Algiers, managing administrative, technical, and financial aspects of civil projects in Cheliff Plain region of Algeria

•Exercise financial and administrative tasks related to the project and coordinate with government authorities for related matters
Validate Invitation to Bid documents, perform bid evaluations, negotiate and manage contracts
•Manage project to ensure compliance with project schedule and coordinate commissioning and start up activities with contractors and end user
•Provide guidance to multi-discipline teams on the supervision of engineering and construction performed by contractors

Main achievements

Infrastructures and installations: Drilling, completion and tie-in over 20 water wells, over 200, 000 meters of pipeline network (4-48 inch) and all relevant equipment, 03 water pumping stations with a total rate of 300, 000 m³/d, 03 concrete reservoirs (43, 000 m³ each), industrial and residential buildings, Power supply network, transformers, and electrical substations
