Nabucco-West is a proposed natural pipeline from the Turkish- Bulgarian border to Austria. The project is being developed by a consortium of six national oil companies. Hungary was represented by MOL, a leading oil and gas company.
Responsible for procurement of gas pipeline construction including project management and gas transportation-trading activity.
Key Achievements
Managed to prepare, to negotiate and to complete the Standard Transportation Agreement and the Network Code of the gas transport-trading activity.
Managed the preparation of tender documents for procurement from commercial aspects.
Successfully challenged initial project costs forecasts and found out that it was not viable. Took necessary steps to convince MOL’s executive management to leave the consortium to prevent losses.

MOL Syria Oil & Gas Company BV - A subsidiary of the daughter company of MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas Plc in the Netherlands.
Company profile: MOL won an international tender in Syria in 1997. According to the contract with the Syrian Government, MOL acquired the rights to explore oil and gas for an initial period of five years.
