Duties and Responsibilities:
- and operates at the fire vehicles with efficiency and reliability.
- Directs Responsible for driving and operating the fire and rescue apparatus to the emergency
scene and controls fire -fighting agents supplied to the emergency scene in coordination with
fire teams and ensures that fire fighting vehicles is ready to use all the times.
- Responds to all fire alarms, Toxic gas detectors, Flame Detector and other emergency.
- Conducts periodical checks, fixed extinguishing systems (CO2, Deluges, foam and dry powder),
inspect, test firefighting pumps and compressors and maintain fire hoses, hydrants, monitors,
isolation valves.
- Conducts dry /wet fire drill/evacuation drill, in house training, hose and equipment to ensure
readiness, cleans fire station and equipment.
-Performs fire safety, firefighting, rescue emergency work and to deal with hazardous chemical
incidents in the role of protecting life and property.
- Participate in Scheduled Firefighting drills and tactical exercises.
- Responds to standby requests during fire risk critical activities and standby duty in Port Berth
Station for Tanker Ship unloading and loading of chemical and oil products.
- Operate Hydraulic platform fire engine every shift.

National Office of Civil Protection (ONPC) under the Ministry of Interior of Tunisia is
responsible for protecting people’s lives and properties against different disasters and threats. Its
mandate includes response activities, overseeing operations of the National School of Civil protection,
as well as supervision and control of fire prevention and self-protection in facilities. ONPC also
participates in the preparation of the national plan disaster fighting, prevention and rescue
organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administered duties such as Fire House incident reports, quality control, supply ordering, in house
medical training, fire tactics and strategy training, building inspection.
- Manage the intervention road accidents, forest fire, hydrocarbon fire, chemical risks.
-Responded to requests from the public and other agencies for information on fire suppression, fire
prevention, EMS and other emergency situation.
