Bhaskar is accountable for definition & maintenance of Enterprise Architecture standards. He is responsible for EA capability, consistency, metrics & guidance on EA Governance. He leads the board constituting Applications, Infrastructure & Security for solution demands and developing technology innovation strategies ensuring EA framework compliance.

He is responsible for IT Portfolio Governance ensuring operational excellence through delivery of secure & efficient services involving budget planning based on business strategy, programs, OpEx and Annual Procurement Plan. Client : TESCO - Tesco is the world's 3th largest and Europe’s 2nd largest retailer operating around 2200 stores worldwide. Best practices of both has evolved for a consistently Excellent Delivery.

Xansa was British company on London Stock Exchange, later purchased by Steria. Xansa supported worldwide retail functions for the client, TESCO. Bhaskar was accountable for offshoring finance system involving stocks, P-o-S, 3-way match and receivables. Success of this first pureplay (offshore) & managed (onshore-offshore) model led to transition of more systems.

The support functions and processes from offshore include Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the customer, incident management, problem management, contracts management, continuous improvement, and 24X7 production support with demanding Service Level Agreements. Involves 10 user groups and 5 support groups.

Promoted to manage a data mapping migration project from DBMS database on Mainframe to RDBMS on client server architecture.
This Project involves migration of all data that are stored in mainframe as VSAM files or flat files to be converted to ORACLE tables. I am guiding the team on Dissertation module of the project which contains bibliography of all the projects submitted at various universities in US. We are coding COBOL programs to extract data as required by the ORACLE table as various data has to go into various tables and the integrity checks are done.

•Lead a team in design and coding of a system to extract data from the mainframe DBMS files
•Coordinating with the data loading team to migrate the extracted data into client server database through SQL loaders

Maintenance and Y2K conversion of the Wings Application & Satellite Systems (WASS) involving the WINGS team and the SATELLITE team.
The Y2K Project contains nearly 200 applications out of which 7000 programs are required for conversion.
The maintenance Project consists of maintaining Online & Batch programs in IDEAL, COBOL involving CICS, and DATACOM for the enhancement of the ongoing application. The project is divided into the WINGS team & the
SATELLITE team. I was involved in the Satellite team dealing with ATM, ABT, HIPORTFOLIO, CSP and A/C statement archiving & printing.

Key Contributions:

•Team member of the Satellite maintenance team targeting to reduce the batch processing time and clearing trouble tickets in the application
•Impacted coding diagnosed using a Y2K tool: MF-Revolve and amended the impacted coding using “fixed window” technique
•Testing the changed applications and migrating to system testing environment

Ashok Leyland Limited is second largest automotive manufacturers of commercial vehicles, such as trucks and buses, as well as emergency and military vehicles in India. UK subsidiary Optare plant is at Sherburn-in-Elmet. Operating in six plants they sell about 60, 000 vehicles and 7, 000 engines annually. It is second largest commercial vehicle company in India in medium & heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) segment with market share of 38%.

A preventive Maintenance System which aids in trouble shooting, spare parts planning, preventive maintenance scheduling and Machine history recording constitutes the Plant and Equipment Maintenance system for the heavy and medium duty truck assembly shop line with over 575 computer controlled machines of the second largest automotive manufacturer in India.

A system which will cater for stock maintenance, Inventory planning, sales order processing and purchase order processing for all the commonly used materials in the automotive assembly line shop floor using more than 80, 000 individual spare parts and an inventory turn over of over INR 5 million pas was the objective of material management system.

Was handling 750 computerised automated machine tools at the peak of my career in mechanical industry when i functioned as funtional coordinator and was the transformation of career from amatuer to professional designer.
Design of advanced material handling equipments under the guidence of IIT research team was the highlight of my career in the mechanical industry.
