 Perform Jacking operation for rig launch, jacking trial, rig turn, rig moves etc.
 To provide input to Project Planner for preparation of Commissioning schedule and set the priorities of the sub systems for pre-commissioning / commissioning in conjunction with commissioning schedule.
 Liaising with the Project Manager, construction manager and project engineers to establish an integrated approach to project completion.
 Participate in the key design reviews such as P&ID, SLD, GA, vendor dwgs, functional design specification, product datasheets, cause & effects chart, Model review etc. to ensure that the project requirements are incorporated into the design & no surprises at pre-commissioning & commissioning phase.
 Review and comment FAT procedure, witness FAT to ensure functional testing and design requirement are correctly implemented by Vendor.
 Reviewing mechanical completions dossier to ensure availability of all related certificates, related inspection/testing is completed, and subsystem is available for pre-commissioning/commissioning.
 Reviewing and Approving commissioning procedures, risk assessment, method statements, check list for each stage of operation prepared by commissioning engineers.
 Maintaining effective communication between projects, engineering, procurement, production, planning and commissioning to minimise re-work, wastage and strictly follow drawings, code and standards as per project requirement.
 Ensuring that the Safety, Quality and Environment requirements of the yard is strictly followed during pre-commissioning and commissioning stage.
 Ensuring effective application of work permit system, LOTO during pre-commissioning and commissioning stage.
 Conduct commissioning meeting with project team, client, sub-contractors and vendors.
 Manage commissioning team to perform pre-commissioning, commissioning and to monitor progress across various on-going simultaneous projects.
 Dealing with vendors for timely execution and completion of pre-commissioning, commissioning activities in cost effective manner.
 Analysing process parameters and troubleshooting to eliminate the root cause.
 To maintain records and logs of man hours, cost, critical requirements, maintenance schedules etc.
 Co-ordinating with client, ABS and third party to ensure that they witness the commissioning of systems.
 Ensure proper co-ordination with structure, piping, electrical, instrument and mechanical dept for clearing punch and defect list.
 Training of start-up, operations to client operators and supervisor.
 Monitor and verify contract deliverables as per contract and milestones requirement.
 Monitoring of a completion system, which will facilitate final hand-over to clients.
 Managing warranty claims of delivered projects.

The Job profile included Monitoring, operating, troubleshooting and controlling process
parameters of various plant equipments in
 Oxidation & Distillation Section: Fixed catalyst tubular reactor, Batch Reactors, Switch
condensers, Steam turbines, Blower, Mixer, Scrubber, Steam flash drum, Deareater,
Desublimator, Vacuum distillation, Fired oil heater, Batch filters, Pumps and Heat
Exchangers used for Production of Phthalic Anhydride & DOP.
 Flaking & Bagging Section: Flakers, Bagging system, De-dusting system, Crusher, Belt &
Screw conveyor.
 Utility Section and Offsite Section: N2 plant, Air compressor unit, Cooling water system &
DM water plant, Loading & unloading of Hydrocarbons from road tankers.
Duties and responsibilities also included carrying out plant operations as per stipulated
work instructions to achieve quality products, safety and environmental awareness,
energy conservation, suggesting and implementing modifications, operators training and
to prepare work instruction/procedures. Also handling startup, shutdown, emergencies,
work permits.
