Duties As Project Officer in Education Programme:
- Monitors projects' implementation and progress from inception to completion.
- Prepares budget estimate, monitors and controls financial expenditure of the projects.
- Prepares regular reports to track immediately and shortage, delays, or bottlenecks hindering the implementation of projects.
- Prioritizes projects related to Education Programme and identifies ideas for new projects, whether construction or non-construction, and prepares project proposals accordingly.
- Maintains contacts with counterparts in UN organizations, NGOs, embassies and community organizations and updates them on progress of specific projects; sources new potential donors and facilitates donors' assessment visits to projects.
- And Other duties as needed.

About UNRWA:
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Established by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 302 (IV) of 8 December 1949 to carry out direct relief and works programmes for Palestine refugees. The Agency began operations on 1 May 1950.
The Agency’s services encompass education, health care, relief and social services, camp infrastructure and improvement, microfinance and emergency assistance, including in times of armed conflict.

- Develop, monitor and implement project work plan according, project plan, donor agreement and AVSI policies.
- Develop and monitor project budget and expenditures.
- Ensure that program/project goals and plans are implemented on time and within budget and according to donor/partner/other stakeholder's compliance requirements.

- Assist in writing of proposals, provide technical input, writing and budgetary input for new program design;
- Perform any other tasks under the guidance of the direct supervisor;
- Coordinate the implementation of the project in accord with the proposal;
- Supervise a team of project staff, including PSS technical supervisors, to ensure the proper implementation of project activities;
- Conducting monitoring missions to all governorates related to this project;
- Submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports as scheduled to the Country Director;
- Submit monthly and quarterly work plans to the Deputy Country Director
- Respond to recommendations made by the Deputy Country Director or evaluators in order to ensure efficient and effective project implementation and goal attainment;
- Conduct a baseline study and beneficiary selection using an agreed beneficiary selection criteria and common data collection in agreement with the partner;
- Participate and contributing to the working group meetings.
