Design of Sewerage networks for upcoming iconic developments in Dubai which include:
Bluewaters Island
Dubiotech
Dubai Health Care City
Dubai Design District.
My responsibilities included preparation of conceptual design, detailed design, design reports for sewerage networks and tendering documents for the above mentioned developments. Incorporate the client requirements in the conceptual and detailed design stages. Preparation of design reports, supervise drawings production, checking all drawings for potable water network, irrigation and sewerage networks.
Also responsible for the analysis reports of sewer networks in areas which had the sewer networks but needed an upgrade due to higher projected population and land use.
─ As Projects Coordinator, provide assistance to project manager in three major ADSSC projects for wastewater works in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi region
─ Preparation of design review reports/comments (for conceptual and detailed design stages) and recommendations based on the contract specifications
─ Provide assistance to Project Manager in terms of all financial information like cash flows, preparation of invoices to client, addressing the variation order, updating financial status of contracts and maintaining planned and future budget records.
─ Visiting sites of relevant developments to overview the construction activities and resolve technical issues in discussion with the site staff of both developers’ consultants and Mott MacDonald
─ Aware of all the required testing on site at commissioning stages as part of the site supervision support
─ Involvement in supporting the site based team for the overview of the construction activities and provide assistance for technical queries and site issues
─ Undertake reviews of submissions from contractor e.g. shop drawings and as built drawings in order to verify the works performed as per approved design
─ Undertake review of material submittals for sewerage works to verify compliance of material used with the material specified in specifications
─ Preparation of monthly progress reports, status details and histogram for all the wastewater projects for submission to client, ADSSC
─ Preparation of status abstracts of the projects
─ Development of actual and planned progress charts, tracking the manpower record for all ADSSC wastewater projects in hand
─ Participation in all technical meetings related to design issues, coordination and progress meetings and preparation of minutes of meetings
─ Review of as built drawings, GIS database and network drawings for submission to client
April 2007 to date:
Working as Junior Design Engineer (Highways) at Republic Engineering Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Involved in Design Review of D.I.Khan to Gambila (N55) Highway that includes geometric design, hrdrology and hydraulics review, traffic and pavement design, road safety report etc etc.
Other responsibilities include realignment of approach roads near bridges and marking super elevation runoff lengths on Plan & Profile drawings for a 60km long hilly area road section located in Himalayan mountain ranges. i am also responsible for carrying out all hydrological analysis and studies for the said project.
I got first division in my whole engineering studies.
