 Involvement in the Process Hazard Evaluation process, PSSR (Pre-Start-up Safety Review), development of DCS configuration and graphics.
 Participates in the development of operation, maintenance and start-up philosophies.
 Monitor Progress and prepare regular reports for management, addressing any significant variances in manpower budget expenditures together with recommendations for corrective action if necessary.
 Compilation of handover MC (Mechanical Completion) & RFC (Ready for Commissioning) dossiers and agreed punch lists.
 Preparing the requirements for temporary equipment to facilitate the Commissioning/Start-Up activities.
 Coordinate with multiple vendors, engineering disciplines, project engineering and management during the preparation of project Turn over dossiers.
 Review the construction and commissioning As-built documents before submitting to ADCO.
 Interface with the Project Management team and Client (ADCO).
 Involvement in the Preparation of Commissioning data base in ICAPS (Integrated Commissioning And Progress System).
 Review Mechanical Completion dossier and database done by Construction Contractor.

 Key role in the Testing, Commissioning and related documentation of;
- SCADA/RTU/DCS/ESD/F&G systems, SCMS (Substation Control Monitoring System) MPFM, HIPPS(High Integrity Protection System), Flare Ignition Panel (Flare System), Air Compressor package (ATLAS COPCO), Nitrogen Generation package (GENERON) and Chemical Injection System (vendor: FRAMES) in Remote Degassing Station (RDS), BAB Central Degassing Stations, Water Injection Clusters and Oil Production wells.
- Flare systems (Flare Ignition Panel) and Blow down systems in Remote Degassing Stations (RDS).
- Surface Injection Pumps (SIP) and Submersible Pumps in the Water Injection Clusters (WIC).

Role
 Managing and planning of electrical and instrumentation construction /commissioning activities in a safe manner.
 Involved in FEED/ Detailed Engineering during the initial stage of the projects.
 Attending safety and progress meeting on weekly basis, coordination with client and permit issuing authority.
 Provide support in technical evaluation of bids and selection of vendor/ consultant/ contractor.
 Preparing the list of the Job Specifications and material requisitions required to comply with the project requirements.

 Keeping the Contract documents and the project quality specifications to ensure the activities are carried out as per the project scope and specifications.

 Liaise with other departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors and third parties.

Notable Accomplishments;
 Monitored the FAT & SAT for F&G systems, PAGA systems, CCTV system, DCS and RTU panels (ABB).
 Promotes HSE awareness amongst the workforce and to hold regular site meetings with supervisors, workers, sub contractors etc on HSE matters relevant to the project.
 Preparation of Work Pack /Work Schedule/ Activity Risk Assessment and method statements for pre-shutdown/shutdown activities.
 Carried out the field instrument up-gradation and replacement of ON-BASE cables in Train-1 turbine (ROLLS ROYCE) area in GASCO.
 Preparation of weekly/monthly report and attend the weekly shutdown progress meetings with client (GASCO).
 Key role in the Installation and commissioning of;
- Vibration monitoring system (BENTLY NEVADA 3500 SERIES) in STG-2(shutdown)/ Seawater intake (project) TAKREER/Train-1 (shutdown) GASCO.
- New TRICONEX (Invensys) marshalling cabinets and system cabinets including the including the removal of existing logic control cubicles (MITSUBISHI) in GUP (General Utility Plant) CCR, TAKREER.
- Marshaling cabinets, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), DCS (ABB & TRICONEX), F&G System, Fire Alarm Control Panel (Simplex 4100-U), INERGEN Control Panel, Operator Consoles, field instruments, instrument junction boxes and related items.
- Electro Chlorination Systems (Siemens) panel, VESDA (Xtralis) system, INERGEN system, DELUGE system, CCTV system, PAGA system and related activities.
Managed projects like;
- Sea Water Intake-3 for TAKREER Refinery, UAE -December-2011 to Present (EPC)
- 5K-101 Field Instrument Upgrade and On-Base Cable Replacement(Shutdown) - GASCO, UAE(EPC)
- STG-2 Control system upgrade (Shutdown)-General Utility Plant-TAKREER Refinery, UAE(EPC)
- Emirates Aluminum (EMAL) Power plant.

 Manage and supervise the electrical and instrumentation construction activities at the site (MOPU) on a day-to-day basis.
 Provide the technical support and quality based execution/construction ideas to the Instrument Team in order to improve the work progress.
 During the absence of lead engineer making the daily /weekly progress report to the project manager.
 Co-ordinate with quality control department for improving the project quality.
 Maintain PTW system for all Instrumentation work permits and assists in project closeout and punch list issues.
 Ensures, whenever necessary, the update of site quality control plans / control procedures.
 Ensure the correct application of the Project Quality Plan in site activities, the supervision/coordination of the quality control activities and the implementation of the Quality Control Plans.
 On-site coordination of Loop checks and Functional checks.
 Provide the technical guidance to the design draftsman in-order to prepare the As-Built engineering drawing.
 Frequently assess the subcontractors for their work and quality standards for them meeting the project specifications.
 In-charge of a team of instrument technicians during the commissioning and start-up phase which included proving the loops on all aspects of offshore equipments.

Notable Accomplishments;

 Distinction of being involved in MOPUSTOR-(HI - 39420) Project (Offshore Plat form).
 Successfully handled the installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of instrument systems on the MOPU, including updating drawings and producing 'As-Built' up to final acceptance tests.
 Installation and functional testing of DCS/ICS/ESD/ F&G systems ( flashers, smoke detectors, heat detectors, flame detectors, gas detectors and MCP(manual call Point)), CCTV system, INERGEN system, Telecommunication System and PAGA systems in living quarters and oil platform.

 Reviews contractor's method statements, inspection test formats, Operational Test procedures and other technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable contract requirements.
 Development of the control system philosophy, project instrumentation specifications and associated procedures.
 Monitors the performance of the design contractor’s instrumentation design team.
 Ensure that instrument/electrical systems comply with the contract requirements and with good industry practice.
 Ensure the implemented work is executed in line with International / Company specifications, standards and procedures.
 Ensure all quality control checks and tests are carried out as per the company approved ITP, method statements and project specifications.
 Review the FGS Instrument Index, Cable Schedules, Data Sheets, FGS Instrument Location Layout Drawings, Cable Routing Drawings, Connection Drawings, FGS Network Architecture Drawing and Interconnection Diagrams.
 Conducting the instrument related inspection in production well areas (Well Head Control Panel) and other mechanical packages like chemical injection skid, Multiphase Flow Meter (MPFM), Air Compressor package, Nitrogen Generation Package etc..
 Responsible for appropriate instrument certifications, as required and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with Project and international standards
 Participate in testing and inspection activities at site and (if required) at contractor facilities, and witness key hold points during construction.
 Witnessing the functional test, commissioning and start up activities and making the punch list during the inspection.
 Monitoring the punch list clearance processes and attending the project meetings with other disciplines.
 Review the Mechanical Completion package, final Commissioning Package and other quality related documents for project acceptance and final handover.
 Ensure all notification, safety signs and barriers advising power on/live systems are provided by the contractors and in place. Ensure contractors carry out tool box talks on electrical safety and permit to work requirements
 Work as QHSE focal point for the work and to develop an emergency response plan in the event of any HSE incident.

Notable Accomplishments;

 Successfully worked in PEDCO-SALMAN OFFSHORE project.
 Successfully handled the pre-commissioning / commissioning/start-up of instrument systems on an oil rig platform, including updating drawings and producing 'As- Built' up to final acceptance tests.
 Key role in the Inspection of;
- Field Instrument installation, cable tray installation, cable laying, control panel installation, junction box installation, instrument calibration and loop checking of instrument (Foundation Field Bus-Delta-V).
- Instrument calibration lab in order to start the bench calibration activities and project material inspection.
- F&G systems ( flashers, smoke detectors, heat detectors, flame detectors, gas detectors and MCP(manual call Point)), CCTV system, INERGEN system, Telecommunication System and PAGA systems in living quarters and oil platform.

 Managing, modifying and improving quality systems as per the sabic specifications.
 To inspect the calibration of all instruments, fault finding and rectify the fault in order to avoid a re-occurrence.
 To inspect the various Electrical equipments like LV, MV & HV Cables, Conduits & Cable Trays, Various HV & LV Panels, Transformer, Lightening&Earthing System, Fire Fighting System.
 Final Inspection of Field Instrument Hook-up and Installation, Final Inspection of Electrical & Instrumentation cable installation routes for above and underground laying and Final Inspection of Field Instrument Calibration, Cable Glanding and Termination work.
 Familiar with international industry codes and standards related to safe systems and electrical systems for instrumentation such as NEMA, IEEE, ANSI, API, ASME etc.
 Monitor the Contractor's implementation and Compliance to HSE Policy &Quality Requirements to ISO 9001:2000, applicable Codes, Standards and Specifications.
 Review the Project Quality Plans, shop drawings, project standards and engineering specifications to ensure efficient execution of works.
 QA/QC Activities for RFI, NCR and Punch List Activities.

 Review and Approval of Contractors Inspection & Test Plans, Procedures, Work Instructions and Vendors Quality Submittals (Purchase Orders, Purchase Requisitions, Inspection Assignment Packages etc.)
 Preparations of various QC test reports, two weeks look ahead record and NCR for procured materials and construction activities.
 Responsible for preparation of project record book, which includes all the as-built engineering documents, quality control documents, NMR and technical submittals in order to submit to client.
 Monitor the calibration status of Inspection Measuring and Test equipments used in the project Analysis and Reschedule any deviations or change of scope required.
 Ensure that all equipment technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes.

 Managing and supervising for all electrical and instrumentation engineering works.

 Installation, Pre-commissioning and commissioning of instrument systems in gas plant, including updating drawings and producing 'Asbuilts' up to final acceptance tests.

 Maintains and improves plant reliability through identifying/correcting bad actors, conducting root cause failure analyses, and implementing preventive /predictive maintenance programs.
 Continuously confirm instrumentation installations meet project design details and Work with safety personnel to ensure all installations are completed in safely.
 Monitor construction activities to meet refinery QA/QC and functional check out requirements

 Provides input to preparing the maintenance budget, and controls spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting, and adjustments.
