Responsible to write and amend complex software programs, lead the testing and documentation phase, discuss feedback and resolve implementation problems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Studies system requirements, interprets system design, prepares codes, writes and amend programs of complex and difficult nature in cooperation with system analyst
2. Maintain integrity of program logic and coding, and establish required checks and balances for operational controls
3. Test own programs and those developed by others in order to ensure high quality infallible software applications that serve user requirements, organization and are in line with the overall guidelines set for the IT Department
4. Monitor production programs for expected performance and responds to errors and emergency problems
5. Produce documentation relating to system development and enhancements for record keeping and reference in the case of future updates
6. Liaise with user representatives and system designers and provide guidance and advice where needed. Provide input to system analyst to prolong system life or to recommend timely replacement
7. Provide on-call support for application system users, administering training where needed
8. Prepare program documentation, operations documentation, users manuals and related application documentation in order to ensure that systems and applications could be smoothly carried through to the implementation stage.
