Reporting to the Construction Director, responsibilities were generally as those listed above for HandJ Martin, however during my time there, FB McKee had a major presence on the Isle of Man and I was heavily involved in organising and coordinating material deliveries from both Ireland and England

At this time Turkingtons were heavily involved in PSNI and Army security works and as deliveries were often infrequent, it was critical that all goods were correct and completely accurate.

Purchasing materials and subcontract services
Monitoring and reporting on progress of same

During my time at John Laing we pioneered the concept of Work Packages where the risk/reward was passed on to the subcontractor
