Responsible to Implement QHSE Management system in Freeport Base.
Responsible is to prepare HSE Internal training plan, prepare training presentation and conducted the HSE internal & client required training.
Responsible to review HSE observations report on daily basis and report the status to QHSE Manager & Designated Person.
Assist QHSE Manager / Designated Person / Process Improvement team during Incident / accident investigation.
Distribute & circulate updates/HSEQMS notifications as required
Responsible to monitor and update QHSE Key Performance Indicator and report the KPI’s status to the QHSE Manager.
Responsible to ensure that all new joiner is inducted as per the QHSE Management System.
Ensure accident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with, and assist with accident investigations where appropriate.
Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by QHSE Manager and QHSE Director.
Responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of HSE Plan in all areas under their direct control.
Conduct daily safety inspection of the workplace and the equipments in their respective areas
Contribute in daily STARRT.
Check daily permit for works of all the activities being carried out at site.
Participate in weekly walk around and general HSE inspections.
Liaise with site engineers, job supervisors, foremen and workers to promote HSE awareness in work areas under their control.
Collate record, report and coordinate investigation of all incidents.
Monitor and ensure control measures are taken as per JHA by the performing party.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipments.
Report and participate in incident investigation process
Support HSE and Project Manager in implementing this plan.
Coordinate with job supervisors to maintain good housekeeping of working areas.
* Provides on-site advice on maintenance and construction activities. On critical jobs such as hot work, provides safety standby coverage utilizing the necessary safety equipment to ensure the safety of plant and personnel.
*Monitors the Permit to Work System. Ensures that safe working practices are being followed, reporting to site supervisor/project engineer and Safety Superior when violations occur. Familiarizes daily with work permits issued for my assigned area.
*Assists in maintaining safety equipment (such as checking B.A sets), and maintains records appertaining to such equipment (such as movement, maintenance and stock levels) so that stock is maintained and in good condition.
*Carries out initial independent accident investigations. Prepares written reports to Safety Superior and liaises with the site supervisor/project engineer. In the event of a serious accident, secures the area until the arrival of the investigation team.
*Prepares written inspection reports and submits to Safety Superior so that remedial action may be implemented. When necessary, urges personnel responsible for the worksite to take immediate action to minimize the likelihood of accidents.
*Visits all facilities and locations in the assigned areas in accordance with an established schedule to check plant safety equipment and to undertake a general assessment of conditions observed.
Inspection of worksite for identification of unsafe act and Unsafe Conditions and reporting for
its early actions.
• Investigation of all accidents including dangerous occurrence and near miss cases.
Inspection of work-site thoroughly by various checklists.
• Conducting various awareness programs like job safety training for employees, Tool Box
meeting, Pep Talk Training, Organizing Essay, Poster-Slogan Competition.
• Procurement distribution and ensuring usage of PPEs.
• Inspection of Personal protective Gear (Helmet, Shoe, Earmuff, Safety Glass) of all Workers,
tools and Equipments, Fire Extinguishers, Fire buckets, First Aid Kit Etc.
• Regularly checking of Work permits and Safety gears of workers.
• Inspection of Tools (Both Hand and Power Tools), Vehicle and Equipments.
• Regularly checking of Certification Stickers and Cards of cranes and Heavy Equipments and
Operation License of Drivers and registration of Vehicles.
• Regularly attending of Safety Meetings and recording minutes, Post Safety Slogans and Memos
in Camp and Worksite.
• Ensuring Good Housekeeping.
• Inspection of all Lifting Tools, Tackles before Starting of work.
• Inspection of Condition and Functioning of Breaks, Limit Switches, Wire ropes etc.
Co-ordination with Contractor and other Agencies.
Measures for safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the use, handling,
storage and transport of articles and substances;
• Undertake daily inspection tours in area of responsibility.
• Conduct toolbox Talk (10-15 minutes.) Daily or per shift.
• Monitor and collect supervisor STARRT card.
• Monitor PPE conditions and Compliance.
• Recommend controls to avoid accidents and incidents.
• Conduct job Hazard Analysis (JHA) on every critical job prior the job starts.
• Complete daily activity reports, bringing to attention actions taken on identified matters of
concerns and issues requiring resolution by higher authority.
• Participate and rotation programs and attends formal training to further develop HSE
expertise in all areas of project activities.
• Advise about prevention of injuries to personnel and damaged to plant and equipment.
• Assist the training for all levels of employees to promote awareness of injury prevention and
damaged control.
• Report directly to the HSE senior officer.
• Maintenance of premises, plant and other systems related to work in a safe and risk free
environment;
• Provision of instruction, training and supervision as necessary to ensure the health and safety
at work of your employees.
Help supervise the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study
possible causes and recommend remedial action.
• Identify and test work areas for potential accident and health hazards, such as toxic
fumes and explosive gas-air mixtures, and implement appropriate control measures.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment, such as lifting devices, machine shields and
scaffolding, to make sure they meet safety regulations.
• Make sure that the organization is aware of, and complies with, all legislation in
relation to the use of its plant, equipment and substances, as well as in all workplace
activities.
• Make sure that personal protective equipment, such as dust masks, safety glasses,
footwear and safety helmets, is being used in workplaces according to regulations.
• Assist with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and make sure
they experience a satisfactory return to work.
