• Monitor and report on the project activities and ensure compliance with plans and INTERSOS-UNHCR standards
• Suggest new methods and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities
• Collect all the data related to the Wash/Shelter Activities in Mount Lebanon and in other areas of Lebanon
• Organize and implement the construction works on the field including supervising and carrying out the execution of shelter/Wash support activities such as rehabilitation and construction of (individual and collective) shelters, rehabilitation, and upgrading of sanitary and water facilities; as well as Community Support Projects fueled by renewable energy (Solar Systems)
• Conduct technical assessments and proposals for the targeted Community Support Projects collective sites
• Inspect construction activities at each site daily to ensure adherence to agreed standards and processes
• Ensure project documents are properly filed and kept secure
• Produce weekly/daily progress reports on the field activities and contract status
• Ensure respect for security rules and report immediately to the CSP Expert
• Respond to donor requests for special cases and follow their progress
• Develop external relationships with municipalities, beneficiaries, contractors, ministries, regional water establishments, and other relevant stakeholders
• Support the Logistics department on the tendering process and suppliers’ selection, and evaluate contractors' and suppliers’ tender specifications
• Implemented construction schedules, methods, equipment, and labor requirements, using MS Project
• Conducted project site visits to meet with construction staff, evaluate progress and discuss operational issues
• Managed various stages of construction projects, including tender, execution, and handing over phase
• Prepared site reports and organized subcontractor invoices, codes documentation, and schematics
• Monitored team of 30 personnel during construction activities to minimize project delays and maintain a tight schedule
• Ordered and tracked delivery of construction materials and supplies from vendors
• Prepared and presented project cost estimates, determining project feasibility based on data analysis and recommended improvements
Supervising and monitoring the sub-contractors concrete/steel works and making sure that everything is being done properly before the deadline according to codes and specifications. Preparing weekly scope of work, rebar and concrete bill of quantities and bar bending schedules. Handing over finished work to consultants. Communicating with consultants, engineers and foreign workers to ensure a smooth progress of work.
