• Carefully manage interfaces and overlapping activities to ensure a smooth delivery of various package components.
• Manage the technical progress during design and construction including testing and commissioning of relevant systems.
• Liaise with project stakeholders and to manage authorities' requirements.
• Support the Project Manager (PM) in all areas related to airport mechanical systems for the Kuwait International Airport (KIA) project.
• Assist the PM in all incoming and outgoing construction correspondence pertaining to all airport mechanical systems.
• Investigate field conditions and review and support the PM in processing of all requests for information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, variation orders (VOs).
• Responsible for all mechanical works such as Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC, Boilers, chillers and piping, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and environmental conditioning systems.
• Identify project requirements in terms tests, asset tagging, spare parts testing and commissioning etc.
• Perform/assist in systems acceptance testing in coordination with Employer, Engineer’s Representative and Stakeholders teams.

Ensure completion of the project on time and budget
according to the specified Employer`s requirements,
technical specifications and quality standards.
Managerial Responsibilities
Interviewing and evaluating new MEP Engineers and
Inspectors to be hired for the project.
Periodic Review Survey and performance assessment of
MEP team as direct line manager.
Leading and managing the MEP Team`s Engineers and Site
Inspectors: Overseeing the work of staff to ensure efficacy
of work procedures.
Leading and managing Utilities packages (infrastructure,
District cooling, External utilities, Fuel farm)
Planning and Liaising with Client & Contractors:
Reporting and liaising with the Client in a regular basis and
compiling reports and updates on progress of the project,
management of construction time, cost and quality.
Managing project interfaces and leading Interface
meetings.
Managing the design variations, replying to Client`s and
Contractor`s queries and issuing design changes and instructions.
Assisting the PMC and QS team for the evaluation of
Claims, variations and extension of time.
Leading weekly, monthly and other progress meetings held
at the site for all packages.
Overseeing Contractors in a regular basis and issuing
quality control observations and assessments, progress and
resources evaluation, reply to queries and issuing design
changes and instructions.
Monitoring the Contractor`s works progress according to
the baseline program.
Directing Contractors to develop their mitigation plans and
remedy the construction delays.
Design Review and Construction Supervision
Review and approval of project documents: specifications,
RFI’s, schedules, testing and commissioning procedures
and plans, and Evaluating design Variations, O&M and
training Manuals.
Leading MEP Technical Engineers for Review of Design,
Material Submittals, Shop-drawings, method statements.
Leading MEP Site Engineers for the MEP works supervision
and ensuring works are performed as per standard quality,
safety rules, and as per Contract requirements,
specifications, approved material, shop drawings and
method statements.
Quality Control of procedures, Contractor`s documents and
Site works.
Proactively identifying potential conflicts and constraints.
Creatively developing solutions and recommending
corrective measures.
Follow-up of the MEP equipment procurement (long lead
items) according to Contractor`s procurement schedule.
Liaising with relevant Project Team Leaders ensuring all
parties are kept informed of matters relating to the project.
Commissioning, Completion of works and Hand Over
Conducting commissionability reviews of project
documents, commissioning schedules, inspections and
tests.
Managing Testing and Commissioning and full integrated
tests.
Managing the taking over procedure.
Review of taking over documents and ensure the quality of the quality of final As-built drawings, O&M manuals,
Documents Logs, trainings, warranties, spare parts, assets
and tagging schedules, test records and certificates.
Ensure closure of pending NCRs.
Conducting and managing Snagging visits with all involved
parties.
Assisting Client for issuing Completion certificate and
occupying the buildings.
Monitoring the de-snagging process and identifying further
defects during the DLP.

Working in a Client Facing, Project and Construction Management Consultancy role. Reporting to Project Manager responsible for the management of all MEP related works packages of a Three Hotel scheme in the Maldives
• Responsibility include the oversight of all MEP works, including infrastructure, utilities, all building services and building management systems, swimming pools, laundry facilities and commercial kitchens.
• Leading MEP team, liaising with The Client, Review of Design, and Consulting & Construction management.
• Responsible for the project delivery on time and budget, with particular attention to the commissioning and finishes of this hospitality / residential project.

• Understand and fully implement project procedures for all MEP contractors and support in the package management of other trade contractors where necessary.
• Set up clear lines of communication with Consultants and MEP Contractors to address shortfalls & issues that may arise in a timely manner.
• Provide advice to project teams on planned logistics arrangements.
• Review and accept related project delivery plans submitted by MEP sub-contractors.
• Managing and chairing meetings with the contractors and Client as well as design consultants.
• Support any off site MEP inspections.
