In this leadership role, i took charge of aspects relating to technology, maintenance, processes and adjustments regarding production line equipment. With in-depth expertise, i took on the role of technology expert for the production lines. My responsibilities included implementing key maintenance pillars, overseeing projects to improve equipment reliability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Managed a project aiming to improve equipment reliability by replacing big and heavy moving parts for the biggest and oldest oven in the plant. The successful operation resulted in an availability of performance and efficiency of the new installation of 99.7%.
• Managed a project aiming to reduce breakdowns by creating standards of lubrication, installing automatic lubrication systems and creating KPI’s to ensure the proper execution and monitoring. This project resulted in an increase of the average mean time between breakdowns by 30%.
• Implemented the Progressive Maintenance and Focused Improvement pillars and led their respective agendas for the whole plant.

Optimization of maintenance methods to improve the performance of production lines and the lifespan of equipment in the IL6S continuous improvement process.

• Restructured and improved the maintenance plan to incorporate TPM principles, reducing the average mean time to repair by 25%.
• Regularly engaged with the line teams to build their capability on Integrated Lean 6 Sigma (IL6S) work processes and encouraged their involvement, passion and energy to achieve loss eradication and prevention achieving 95% engagement.
• Improved data collection in order to implement new KPIs never monitored before like MTTR, MTBF and availability.

As an Assistant Mechanic Intern, i had the opportunity to work alongside experienced mechanics and learn the fundamentals of vehicle maintenance and repair. My primary responsibilities included assisting in routine vehicle inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and basic repairs under the guidance of senior mechanics. I also supported the maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace. This internship provided me with valuable real-world experience, enhanced my technical skills, and gave me a glimpse into the exciting world of automotive engineering.
