covered storage, transfer conveyors, ship loading equipment, and
supporting infrastructure. The project embraced a ‘Prevention through
Design’ philosophy to maximise safety and minimise risk.

Tilbury LNG Terminal
Project Manager for the FEED design of the Tilbury LNG Marine Terminal.
Located in the Fraser River, the marine terminal was designed to
accommodate LNGCs up to 130, 000 m³, and to consider the effects of
liquefiable soils and passing vessel traffic. Worked closely with the BC Oil
and Gas commission (BCOGC) as the regulatory project reviewer to ensure
the design complied with provincial legislation.
The scope also included a Full Mission Bridge Simulation, ADCP
deployments and providing assistance to prepare the Environmental
Assessment (EA) permitting documentation.
Translink - South Seabus Seismic Upgrade

BC Ferries - Langdale Ferry Terminal Upgrade
Managed the detailed design of a new floating concrete pontoon, over 115m
in length and 15 m wide, to replace the existing berth 1 marine structures in
Langdale, B.C. The design included an AQWA analysis of the pontoon and
vessel interaction. The pontoon was constructed in three separate parts
and post-tensioned together before being towed to site.

Ferrexpo is currently exporting approximately 9 Mt/y of iron ore with plans to
increase production to 50 Mt/y by the end of 2033. As part of expansion
plans to export up to 50 Mt/y of iron ore, a cape size marine terminal will be
built at Yuzhny, located on the Black Sea. The terminal is composed of a
2.6-km long access trestle complete with a single lane roadway and three
trestle conveyors.

Preliminary Engineering
Project Manager for the preliminary engineering design of the marine works,
responsible for preparing Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and supporting
SALFACORP on an EPC bid for the Project. E-CL, the largest energy
provider in northern Chile, is planning to add capacity to its existing coal

fired power plant near Mejillones. Part of the expansion includes the
development of the offshore marine works and topside materials handling
systems and equipment to unload 6 Mt/y of coal and other products from
bulk vessels ranging in size from 30, 000 to 180, 000 DWT.

Dredging Project
Project Manager and Marine Lead responsible for preparing IFC drawings
and technical specifications to carry out 35, 000 m³ of dredging at the Viterra
Pacific basin. An innovative dredging solution was required due to the
presence of difficult ground conditions at the site. Responsibilities included
coordinating environmental contractors.

New Shipping System Feasibility Study
Project Manager for the feasibility study of a new shipping system at the
Pacific Elevator terminal in Vancouver, BC. The scope of work includes
managing sub-consultants to carry out geotechnical investigations,
environmental assessments and surveying, and all engineering to a level
suitable for inclusion in an environmental permit submittal.

Oil Import/ Export Terminal Feasibility Study
Managed the pre-feasibility study of a bulk liquids import/export terminal to
be located at Fraser Surrey Docks, BC. Project scope included reviewing
existing berthing facilities, preparing tank farm layouts, developing vessel
approach and departure routes and identifying project flaws.

Relincho Seawater Intake and Pipeline Feasibility Study
Managed the Feasibility Study for the Relincho seawater intake facility, in
Northern Chile. The seawater intake facility consisted of a pile and trestle
structure and an innovative pumping system.

and contractors, and preparing drawings and order of magnitude cost
estimates.

North Landing Wharf Settlement Repairs, Esquimalt, BC
Responsible for designing a new concrete slab on grade, including
installation of new fill material and a heat traced cable trench.
Responsibilities included completing the detailed design of the structure,
preparing the specifications and construction drawings and working with the
client and electrical engineers to coordinate design development. Capital
cost: $500, 000.
