o To provide treatment in case of illness and injury to student, faculty, staff and family members in school premises in accordance to school policies and procedure.
o To assess and evaluate patient condition and to determine the appropriate nursing intervention.
o Administer medication and treatment to student and staff as with doctor’s order which based to school policies.
o Maintains accurate daily record of patient’s visit, complain and treatment given. Maintain confidentiality of each case handled.
o To document, report the changes of patient's condition, and informed the families and immediate superior.
o Refer the student’s parent for the need to see the specialist if needed.
o Orders, maintains, monitor the medical supplies and equipment for the nurse’s office.
o Provides health education and health counseling to students, parents, caregivers/ nannies and staff to promote optimal wellness.
Ensures all education programs comply with the AMA aims and objectives. Participates in the assessment, development, provision, and evaluation of nursing orientation, education, and ongoing in-service programs for nursing personnel in assigned area(s) and for ensuring that they support the direction and development of the Nursing Department and the quality of nursing care and services provided to patients.
The Patient Care Staff Nurse, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Ensures that quality of care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standards of care.
