My role is that of IT Delivery Manager in the Property team. Our team is responsible for managing the IT installations, moves and changes of all UAE and global outstation property projects. These are mainly Airport Offices, Sales Offices, Regional Offices, Airport Lounges and Line Maintenance offices. We also manage the IT installations of any UAE Property projects, and these have included:
Etihad Flight College and Hangar, Etihad Training Academy, Flight Simulator building, Etihad Airways Centre, Etihad / Siemens Building, Etihad Crew Briefing Centre.

My role responsibilities are:

Manage a team of Project Managers
Project Portfolio Planning
Management of Contractors and 3rd Party Suppliers (SITA, IBM, ADAC, Etisalat, Cisco Partners)
Stakeholder briefings and requirement capturing
Management of procurement and budgets
Portfolio reporting
Adhering to IT and Corporate Governance requirements
Regular travel to outstations to plan and co-ordinate IT installations and moves

SAS Site Manager at Al Jaber Engineering & Contracting (ALEC)

My role is SAS Site Manager in the Specialist Airport System team. Our team manages all installations of the specialist systems in the construction of Concourse 3. Our team managed all installations of the specialist systems across BAA’s airports which include CCTV, Access Control Systems, Flight Information Displays, Real time information displays, Airport Radio Systems, Traffic Management systems, Intrusion detection solutions. Majority of the projects we worked on had to maintain Department for Transport and EU Standards.

• My role required the managing of Projects of various sizes at various airports simultaneously, namely Gatwick, Heathrow & Stansted.
• Projects I have been involved with have ranged from £5000 to £3 Million.
• Due to the nature of the work environment, Security Compliance and Health and Safety were of the utmost importance.

IT Implementation Manager at British Telecom

At the time of my employment, BT Global Services held the contract to provide a complete support solution to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) throughout the UK. My Role as a “Site Implementation manager” was to co-ordinate all new or additional IT works required on DWP Estates. Most of my work was for the Jobcentre Plus rollout within my specified Government Organisational Regions. This work was carried out to strict deadlines, timescales and budgets. I regularly managed more than 30 implementations of various sizes at any one time.
BT had a two year programme to Roll Out an IP telephony solution across the DWP Estate, and as the Site Implementation Manager, I was responsible for the Surveys, meetings, LAN / WAN / Telephony Migrations, 3rd Party Supplier management and maintaining of milestone dates on the Rollout Schedule.

• Primarily a Customer facing role, coordinating with DWP Regional managers and staff.
• Attending of District meetings for my areas: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Surrey SW London, Hampshire, Isle of Wight.
• Managing of the Supply chains which supply services to the DWP. Most Implementations required the management of 3rd Party companies such as Phoenix IT, Computacenter, Siemens, and co ordination with EDS.
• Structured Cabling Surveys and implementations - My Largest cabling implementation has been across 7 Floors during the Jobcentre Plus refurbishment of that particular site.
• Environmental Surveys and reports.
• Planning Server room / Patch Cabinet layouts.
• Procurement and installation of all IT equipment for Contractual works. (Equipment used was mainly Cisco, Nortel, Mediatrix, Dell, Hewlett Packard)
• Migrating sites to BT’s VOIP system. My Largest IPT Migration was 280 Users.
• Migrating of call centres to BT’s Automatic Call Distribution service.
