OPERATIONS (current role reporting to the Chairman)
* Leading and managing a multinational team of 23 dynamic,
diverse and motivated individuals handling the execution,
timeliness and precision of all Sea, Air, Road Freight
Forwarding and Logistics operations.
* Initiating and maintaining productive business relations with
new and existing clients, agents and regulatory officials.
* Negotiating freight (rates, RFQs, tenders and quotations),
contracts and service agreements with shipping and logistics
partners, both domestically and internationally.
* Developing suitable logistics solutions for challenging
import/export opportunities.
* Developing regular productivity and performance reports,
and analyses to reflect sea freight and operational activities.
* Anticipating risks and working with the team and senior
leadership to mitigate and resolve issues that occur.
* Researching and evaluating competitor activities to inform
and drive own team and overall organisation strategy.
* Managing and supporting the training and education of the
team, including cross-training across functional areas.
* Conducting internal audits and ensuring key process
objectives and standard operating procedures are followed
and updated, where relevant.
