Responsible for -
Integrated operations planning and management
• Ensuring that operations and projects of the company were technically sound and optimally designed, engineered to appropriate standards and specifications, meeting required product specification and HSE requirements for process safety and integrity.
• Acted as regional focal point for HSE, risk, crisis and regulatory compliance management for the company.
• Facilitated the development and execution of the large project HSE plan for construction and HSE management system
• Ensured leading and trailing HSE performance measures were developed, compiled, maintained and reported.
Achievements:
• Managed successful process safety at the time of turn around and ready to start up of plants from year 2009-2012
• Averted a big incident/accident due to faulty procedure of confined space entry by confronting operations team 2012.
• Successfully managed the management of change procedure for various changes in process plants and equipment.2010
• Successfully managed all construction HSE plans and procedures for all projects for example construction of APSAT4/L6 Nitrogen production plant in Muscat and Sohar. Pipeline construction for Sohar Aluminium, Oman refinery, Shadeed iron and steel.2009-2012

Responsible for:
• Advising management of critical Environmental issues and mitigation in process safety and integrity for construction of buildings(plant, offices, medical facility, recreation centre and residential units)
• Conducting primary technical reviews, as appropriate, on assigned deliverables and tendering packages to ensure compliance with regulatory & prime contract requirements, project schedule and Oman and GCC laws and regulations, where relevant.
• Monitoring the prime contractor work in all aspects of environmental systems and equipment, during the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of plant, such as effluent and gaseous discharge treatment systems and environmental monitoring systems.
• Developing the HSE-management system, plan and policy in coordination with HSE department of the company.
Achievements:
• Recommendations and advice to Sohar Industrial Port Company for managing Crisis situation for safety and security after Arab spring movement as part of joint member committee. Recommendations implemented by Ministry of Interior in 2011.
• Developed and operated management system for ISO09001 14001 for Shadeed iron and steel in year -2008 - 2009
• Helped Maritime College and Sohar University in setting up their environment department and HSE and crisis management guidelines and procedure.
• Successfully managed construction HSE management of all major projects taken up by Shadeed Iron

• Managing the Safety Department function by developing performance indicators and identification of issues and deliverables related to them.
• Advise management of any change in the Laws that affect the operation.
• Developed HSE and crisis management Manual and management Systems, Policies and Procedures.
• Conducted internal and external safety audits obtaining certificate of recognition in the partnership program (COR). • Conducted high level workshop and seminars for different Environment Issues for broad range of organization from education institution, training institute, multinational companies and government agencies, NGOs
Achievements:
• Worked very closely with Ministry of Environment, National parks, NGOs, international agencies like UNEP, UNDP & helped them prepare guidelines for environment assessment methodology.
• Preparation of course module for Environment management education for graduate classes.
• Developed CSR policy and plan for multinational companies and government agaencies like ONGC, GAIL.
