Contract for Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) by JKC Ichthys LNG JV for INPEX Ichthys Onshore LNG
Facilities at Blaydin Point at Darwin, Australia.The CCPP is expected to be designed for approximately 500
megawatts of electrical power demand.
Basetec are a subcontractor to UGL-CH2M Hill JV for the supply and site installation of composite pipe to the project.

Key Duties: Fulfilled the role of Basetec Project Manager & Client's Project Engineer for site works, including provision of pre- construction documentation.
Manage and coordinate the safe and efficient start up & execution of the Basetec works valued at approximately
$20m.
Manage all phases of the project including mobilisation, start-up, human resources, scope, project engineering.

Project Details: The Santos GLNG Project is a US$18.5 billion pioneering venture to convert coal seam natural gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) for export to global markets.
Basetec are a supply contractor to Fluor and construction sub-contractor to Clough-Downer Joint Venture,
supplying and installing above and below ground glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) piping for water to grade systems for dewatering of coal measures.

Key Duties: Manage and coordinate the safe and efficient execution of the contract valued at approximately $20m.
Implement the contract on-site and manage all phases of the project including mobilisation, start-up, human
resources, scope, project engineering, construction, quality documentation and reporting.
Lead, supervise, direct and mentor a team of 20 blue collar and white collar personnel overseeing safety.
Manage all works on-site through supervisors and leading hands, ensuring work is completed safely to quality standards and in accordance with the project schedule.
Facilitate and contribute to commercial meetings regarding contractual issues, variations, notices of delay.
Develop programmes and schedules for works and track progress against schedules.
Work with Contractors, their client, Fluor, and their client, Santos, to work through various technical, supply and constructability issues.
Manage the workload of the Project Engineer, Quality Engineer, Supervisors and the HSE Coordinator.
Manage payment claims and invoices for processing by the contractor.
Manage delays for issues or events such as inclement weather and other situations such as delays in the supply of free-issue materials or open trench to lay pipe.
Manage the logistics, deployment of tool containers and heavy equipment including Excavators, Moxi's,
Morooka and 4x4's.

Develop and complete project quality documentation on-site according to the quality plan and quality forms such as field inspections and jointing check sheets.
Develop site specific procedures for the installation of GRE pipe.
Manage and coordinate material matching based upon alignment sheets, quantities and commodities ordered by
EPCM contractor, identify and report any differentials.
Manage detailed engineering studies of the constructability of various types of GRE pipe for installation through
Horizontally Directional Drilled sections below areas of environmental and cultural significance.
Manage document control, transmittals with documentation for approval, requests for information (RFI's) and generally managing the flow of information to ensure the appropriate people are well informed with information.
Liaise with manufacturers to ensure priority additional parts identified in the material take are produced and delivered within specified timeframes including the arrangement of sea or air freight.
Complete and submit Daily Activity Sheets and Weekly/Monthly Reporting to the contractor.
Manage stock, organise free issue material vouchers and arrange material delivery from laydown yards to site.
Conduct Material stocktakes at Fluor's lay-down yards.
Process timesheets for all white and blue collar staff ensuring receival by Human Resources.
Manage staff recruitment, termination and handle Industrial Relations issues.

Key Duties: As an external contractor, fulfilled the role of client's project manager on the Power Supply Infrastructure Project
including 80MW and 66kV power supply) which involved the following duties: - Responsible for client side management of infrastructure projects valued at $100m from Greenfield start to operator handover.
- Project managed all electrical works undertaken by the contractors, ETSA Utilities (now SA Power
Networks) and the design and construction contractor Adelaide Aqua which was an unincorporated venture between Abigroup, McConnell Dowel and Acciona Aqua.
