Directs all the activities in QA/QC all sections (Small Diameter Plant, Large Diameter Plant, Medium Diameter Plant, Coating Plant, Induction Bending Plant and QC Laboratory Testing) pertaining to material receiving, production operation and final inspection processes, mechanical/chemical/corrosion control testing required and inspection, measuring and testing equipment maintenance, calibration and control.

Ensures that raw material and finished products are in accordance with the technical specs required by the clients and standards.

Manages a team of QA/QC Engineers, Process and NDT Inspectors, Document Controllers and Lab Inspectors.

Prepares the career plan and job descriptions of all the QA/QC Admin Staff and inspectors.

Manages the implementation and control of the Quality Management Systems (QMS as per ISO 9001), Environmental Management System (EMS as per ISO 14001) and Safety Management System (as per OHSAS 18001). Manages the periodical external audits by the international and national certification bodies and the clients as required.

Ensures that the suppliers and subcontractors are implementing and controlling their quality, environmental and safety management systems as required by the contracts.

Conducts periodical assessment of the suppliers and subcontractors.

Maintains communication with the clients and concerned Sales offices/Process Owners for technical issues on the products conformities and non-conformities.

Performs the function as CEO Representative in addition to QA/QC Manager job position.

Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) regarding the QA/QC activities.

Duties and responsibilities:

f) Ensures proper & timely performance and reporting of lab testing

h) Ensures completion of project in accordance with the requirements of contracts and that all documentation are properly and securely filed
i) Completes projects’ documentation & acquires approval/release by the QA/QC Manager, Third Party Inspectors and/or Clients.
j) Reviews and verifies the corrective actions in non-conformance reports, and ensure that corrective actions will prevent recurrence of non- conformity.
k) Supports external auditors, customer’s representatives/Third Party Inspectors during periodic surveillance visits and inspections.
l) Performs periodic audits of suppliers’ Quality Systems and Facilities
m) Ensures that Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) are issued when activities deviate from the approved MPS/ITPs and project specifications.
n) Conducts training for the QC Engineers and QC Inspectors in relation to the new requirements of international standards, customers’ specs and company’s specs required in the projects
o) Develop and implement technical training programs to enhance levels of competency of QA/QC Staff.
p) Monitors the proper implementation of Quality Management Systems-QMS (ISO 9001:2008)/API Spec Q1, Environmental Management Systems-EMS (ISO 14001:2004) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001:2007)
q) Prepares recommendation for promotion of QA/QC Staff
r) Controls vacation plans of QA/QC staff
s) Controls/ensures validity & availability of applicable international/national standards & specifications
