• General supervision and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems at construction sites.
• Monitor, verify, and document the work being performed through subordinates. To ensure proper implementation of design at site.
• Provide technical assistance to the construction team as needed.
• Generate/Review material requisitions, submittals, and ensure contract performance measures are met.
• Ensure that all mechanical site activities are conducted under controlled conditions as per shop drawings, method statements, specification and work plan.
• To coordinate with other engineering discipline.
• Assist the Project Manager in ensuring completion of the project per schedule within budget, in accordance with quality standards.
• Evaluate the project construction to ensure compliance with standards for mechanical systems.
• Serve as the Site Representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of mechanical works.
• Receive/action Request for Information (RFI) that apply to mechanical works. RFI's requiring design feedback will be directed to the Designer for response. Review the responses for adequacy.
• To handle the complete Mechanical design (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, other specific mechanical activities)
• Overall responsibility for the execution of all HVAC works for high value construction projects.
• Review the contract documents and manage the clients and sub contractors.
• Co-ordination with design team for design changes, revisions and as built works.
• Preparing material take off, Bill of Quantities and maintaining proper inventory at site.
• Raising and approval of Installation and testing Requests.
• The mobilization and management of all site based materials and activities.
• Administer the construction process and management against an appropriate construction program through proper execution, planning and monitoring.
