Supervises 19 Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) on implementing the Nutrition Programs set by the City Government.
Focuses on the nutritional status of children with ages 6 and below in the city.
Distributes the public health nutrition budget set by the CSWD on different nutrition programs for the whole city.
Conducts monthly meeting with the BNS for their Barangay’s nutrition status and needs.
Sets actual visit day for all barangays to ensure proper nutrition program implementation.
Coordinates with other companies and corporations for program sponsorship.
Does the monthly City Nutrition Report to be submitted to the Office of the City Mayor.
Supervises 15 staff under the dietary department (food attendant, cooks, food purchaser and dish washers)
Ensures food safety for patients from purchasing, delivery, preparation and distribution.
Sets standards for food handling and preparation.
Plans the monthly hospital cycle menu, does the food costing and recipe standardization.
Reviews the patient medical records as basis for food restrictions and meal preparation.
Instructs the cooks on food preparation for special diets like low salt, low fat, low cholesterol, and many more.
Supervises the plating of the food before room distribution to ensure that all patients will have their specified food according to medical needs.
Conducts patient counseling before going out of the hospital for nutritional support.
Prepares food for patients with special needs (Osterized Feeding-OF).
Does the monthly report to be submitted to the Finance Department and Medical Consultant.
