Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) at Swinburne University of Technology in Sarawak. Applied marketing and consumer science as minors. The course focuses on microbiology , biochemistry , chemistry and their respective applications. For the microbiology section , we were taught about the different microorganisms and how they can be used in our daily life for the manufacture of products.My final year project project consisted isolating microorganisms that are arsenic tolerant and identify them . The samples were collected from a lake know as the Blue lake, in Lundu Sarawak . The lake was contaminated with arsenic . A core sediment was collected and and XRF analysis was carried out to see the concentration of arsenic along the core . The core was then cut into sections and put into Basalt Salt medium enriched with arsenic . The flasks were incubated and sub cultured later on if turbidity was observed . The sample was then spread on BSMY agar . Growth was observed after 3 days . According to morphological analysis , the microorganisms were of the penicilim and gymnoascus species . later on Dna purification was carried out to the 16rsDNA was carried out to find the sequencing of the 2 microorganisms . A software known as mega5 was used to blast the results and find the identification of the microorganims . This project can be used later on for bioremediation of arsenic because those microorganims can use arsenic in their metabolism , hence making the contaminated area less harmful. My skills concerning PCR , DNA extraction , plate streaking and Blasting improved to a height where I could perform well under pressure without references to basic procedures. . Food technology and consumer science which focus on health safety of consumers were mastered. Marketing skills : Customer Relationship management , Services marketing , Digital and direct marketing which means E-marketing mainly , and finally General marketing .

I have managed to obtain very good grades throughout the course. Being from a bilingual country , that is where French and English language are used everyday , I am confident about communication with clients who speak those two language
