Duties and Responsibilities:
➢ Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the requirements of Safety Management Plan and arrange continuous and formal daily Safety Monitoring to ensure compliance and effectiveness and keeps a constant check on the methods used by the Supervisors to prevent safety violations and to stop any work in situation of imminent danger.
➢ Liaise with and support Superintendents/ Supervisors to promote safety awareness in their area of control.
➢ Detect, identify, analyze, control eliminate recognized hazardous acts, condition, behavior and violation, in case of any employee/s are guilty of safety violation,
➢ To investigate and report immediately in writing all accident, unsafe acts, near misses occurred at work site and the report shall be submitted to Client Safety Representative.
➢ Review the completed risk assessments and monitor their implementation whole throughout the duration of the project execution.
➢ Maintain a register or log for all the accidents and near misses that happen during the project execution, publicize these statistics and update in a daily manner.
➢ Maintain Records of equipment and tools inspection/ testing certificates.
➢ Monitoring correct use of safety barriers, including timely removal.
➢ Issue a detailed daily/weekly/monthly safety report including all accident/incident, hazards and near misses observed, manpower, man-hours worked and to submit it to Client Safety Representative.
➢ Ensure that a safety discrepancy logbook is posted in each work areas, its location can be easily accessed and review the logbooks on regular basis to take the necessary corrective action.
➢ Participate in the daily/weekly safety audit inspections and to ensure that all the unsafe acts/ conditions reported are corrected.
➢ Attend the weekly safety meeting scheduled by Client safety representative.
➢ Coordinate with Client Safety Management Team
