Electrical Design Engineer, Load Calculations & Sizing, • Drafting and reviewing specifications for electrical systems (power, lighting, control systems).

Preparation of MTOs, BOQ, for MEP/Electrical and Instrumentation

QA/QC (Material) Engineer Site, IPC in QS, Track project budgets for electrical works and monitor actual costs against forecasted figures.
• Evaluate variations, prepare cost impact analyses, and submit variation orders (VOs).
• Work closely with procurement and site teams to manage material reconciliation and control wastage.
• Monitor the financial performance of the electrical portion of projects.
• Track and control expenditures, identifying potential cost overruns.
• Prepare regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting risks and opportunities for cost savings.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical works based on technical specifications and drawings.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements and gather cost data.
• Provide accurate and timely cost forecasts and financial reports to project managers.

Quantity Take-Off & Estimation:

• Perform detailed take-offs from electrical drawings including cable trays, lighting, wiring, conduits, panels, and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for electrical systems in accordance with project specs and IFC drawings.
• Support the tendering team with cost estimates and pricing comparisons during bid stage.

Cost Control & Monitoring:

• Track project budgets for electrical works and monitor actual costs against forecasted figures.

Review subcontractor electrical BOQs and certify progress claims based on site execution.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of subcontract agreements, RFQs, and technical submittals.
• Manage interim payment applications and ensure timely submission of claims.
Administer contracts for electrical works, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Prepare and review subcontractor agreements and variations to contracts.
• Manage claims, disputes, and changes in scope of work.
Tendering and Procurement:
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of bids for electrical works.
Source suppliers and subcontractors for electrical materials and services.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
Site Coordination & Reporting:
Visit project sites to verify actual quantities installed and support measurement verification.
Liaise with site engineers and project managers to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.
Maintain records of completed work and prepare monthly cost/value reconciliation reports.
