• Developing standardized HSE best practices and procedures for safe operations;
• Develop, roll-out and monitor (IMS) Occupational Health and Safety Management System to achieve OHSAS 18001 certification; sustaining certifications of OH&S, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) Management Systems;
• Review Annual HSE Objectives & Targets Plan (including long term focus area) and evaluate status on monthly / quarterly basis and present outcomes to Management team; Identify criteria for HSE Performance for various divisions and monitor company & contractor HSE performance; HSE reports for Directorate and provide inputs for OGP reporting;
• Implement Annual Management HSE Inspection & Audit Plan, monitor action plan till close out;
• Facilitate implementation of system for Managing HSE in Contracts; reviewing HSE requirements for contracts, setting up HSE Evaluation criteria and HSE performance criteria.
• Ensuring line management conducts their operations in line with Corporate / Directorate’s HSE Policy, legal and industry practices;
• Enhance HSE Risk Management practices; review and update ‘Hazards & Effects Register’ for the organization’s operations; and Emergency Response preparedness are up-to-date;
• Ensure effective Incident management system, monitor quality of reporting in SAP, Facilitate investigations and analyze incidents using tools like ‘Tri-pod Beta’, Kevin Top-set, SCAT Tool for root cause analysis;
• Active contribution in various working QP committees for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Business Continuity Management (BCP & BCM), Process Safety Management (PSM), QP HSE Task Force for special assignments.

As Head - HSE reporting to the Managing Director - HOEC (Eni Group).

• Senior Management role assigned with the responsibility of steering HSE systems for all company assets/ operations in India; identifying HSE strategies based on Asset needs, managing project HSE Engineers (Company & Contractor resources);
• Designing & Driving HSE Management System across the company assets and responsible for developing and implementing HOEC - HSE Management System and reporting performance status to Top Management;
• Establish Annual HSE Performance KPI and HSE Business Plans. Review adequacy of HSE business plans, establish Targets & Objectives and monitor company & contractor HSE performance; review and approve HSE reports for Directorate General of Hydrocarbons & JV Partners & Stake Holders reporting requirements;
• Closely monitor HSE performance in the ongoing production operations, field development projects, exploration and drilling activities in the Assets and ensure that all such activities are carried out safely to meet Company’s HSE targets agreed prior to commencing of such activities and defined in the HSE plan.
• Develop and update HSE Risk Register for company’s operations; Review & finalize Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), HAZID and HAZOP study reports, Fire Safety philosophy and Emergency Response Plans for PY-1 Field Development Project, Cambay Field Development and Risk studies for Assam Exploration & Appraisal campaigns;
• Assist in developing & review HSE plans / procedures for new projects, expansion / augmentation of existing facility, exploration activities (seismic, drilling, projects & production phase) etc, review & provide technical inputs and ensure that an effective and workable plans are prepared to meet the HSE requirements of Company.
• Provide HSE technical data for the field development project relevant national & international standards and codes; SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) Study and Workshops for PY-1 & Cambay Field development;
• Devise & review HSE systems related to PY-1 offshore Field Development (Offshore gas platform and onshore gas terminal) & Cambay Early Production System from the FEED stage to Commissioning to production operations;
• Develop Emergency response strategies & Oil Spill Response and identifying infra-structure and external support for offshore operations (seismic, drilling, project and production) for Cauvery, Cambay & Assam Assets;
• Successfully managed timely Environmental Clearance from Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF) for all projects: Cauvery Drilling, PY-1 Field Development, Cambay Field, Assam Drilling projects; presenting projects to Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) for clearance;
• Monitor status of statutory compliance and assist the Asset / BU Management team in ensuring HSE compliance to all applicable requirements / standards.

Deputy Manager-QHSE reporting to Snr. Vice President & Head - QHSE.

• Develop HSE Management System; implementation & evaluation of various assets’ performance with special focus on deepwater campaigns & Field Development campaigns; (Seismic, exploratory & development Drilling & Project) for KG-D6 & NEC-25 offshore blocks;
• Identify criteria for HSE Performance for various Assets, assess adequacy of HSE business plans, establish Targets & Objectives and monitor company & contractor HSE performance; HSE reports for Directorate General of Hydrocarbons & JV Partners & provide inputs for OGP reporting;
• Carry out HSE audits and inspections of all operations areas; facilitate incident investigation, review and approve investigation reports and monitoring close out status; Reports for Statutory bodies like DGH, DGMS, etc
• Advise Line Managers on HSE issues and coordinating with the Base HSE supervisors and follow-up from HQ;
• Monitor the implementation of environmental management plan for the Drilling & Field development campaigns and managing reporting to statutes. Firm up statutory reports on HSE performance to Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) and other statutory bodies for various onshore and offshore Assets.

‘HSE Engineer’- Hardy Oil is an US based MNC carrying out exploration and production of Oil & Gas in India. It has a production facility (FPU) & Floating Storage & Offloading (FSO) at Pondicherry offshore. Exploratory and appraisal drilling operations are being carried out to exploit the oil reserves.

• Manage HSE Performance plans, establish Targets & Objectives and monitor company & contractor HSE performance; Finalize HSE reports for Directorate General of Hydrocarbons & JV Partners;
• Drawing up Project HSE Plan for the drilling & production operations including HSE Procedures specific for the facilities/rigs, Emergency Response Plan and Inspection schedules and manpower resources;
• Coordinating and participating in HSE Audits & Inspections of operational areas (Drilling Rigs & Offshore production facilities;

• Manage HSE Performance plans, establish Targets & Objectives and monitor company & contractor HSE performance; Finalize HSE reports for Directorate General of Hydrocarbons & JV Partners;
• Developing & successfully implementing ‘Safety Management System’ for the Oil & Gas Division of Company with primary focus on the drilling rigs (MODU);
• Carrying out HSE audits and inspections, organizing HSE Committee meetings at the offshore facilities, rigs and base offices; and coordinating HSE training of staff.
• Maintaining the HSE Hazards & Risks Register and periodic reviews to evaluate new or latent risks inherent in the operations.

• Reporting to the HSE Manager- India and supporting HSE Manage-Ravva Asset;
• Assist the HSE Manger-India in driving Cairn’s HSE Management System, utilizing the guidelines of DNV's ISRS system;
• Review and maintain HSE Business plan in line with Corporate and Business Unit forward/ look ahead plans; Monitor performance of various contractors and service providers;
• Implementing and monitoring HSE procedures for Field Development campaigns, offshore drilling and Ravva Satellite Gas development project;
• Review and finalize Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study & Risk Assessment reports for various drilling campaigns of Ravva, CBOS/2, Rajasthan Assets; Ensuring post-project environmental monitoring & compliance reporting to authorities;
