Dragados Offshore de México is a company operating in the oil&gas sector, its local parent company is Grupo Avanzia. Avanzia is an EPC supplier and operator within most of the infrastructure sectors, such as power generation, oil&gas, telecom, roads, etc.
I was originally hired by Dragados but I have been moved to the parent company after demonstrating proficient performance. I perform all relevant tasks related to structured finance (project finance and project bond) and corporate finance (derivatives, SBLCs, etc.) ranging from financial modelling to provide figures in bidding offers to assessing returns for equity partners; as well as advising on every stage of the process. I’ve also been appointed the person in charge of the financial department.
Related skills and abilities:
My tasks imply a high degree of expertise regarding financing structures such as Project Finance and Investment Projects in the Public Expenditure Register (Pidiregas and OPF) SBLCs. Also, I perform projections/forecast and carry out financial modelling with a high degree of complexity, including valuation.

ENAL is a company focused on the development of integral geothermal energy projects within Mexico, North America and Latin America.

I provide financial advisory services ranging from elaborating Business Plans to developing feasibility spreadsheets and advising on financing structures (Project Finance, Bridge loan, Mezzanine loan).

I perform all relevant tasks related to structured finance (project finance) and corporate finance (derivatives, SBLCs, etc.) sources, ranging from debt re-financing structuring to placing financial products in the market. Also, I produce financial models for every stage of each project: tendering model, financing model, financial management model, as well as, pre-feasibility analysis spreadsheets. In addition to this, I produce forecasts and projections in trends and prices.

I performed all relevant tasks related to structured finance (project finance) and corporate finance (derivatives, SBLCs, debt placements, etc.) sources, ranging from debt re-financing structuring to placing financial products in the market. I also performed financial modelling for both structured and corporate finance projects.

My tasks implied a high degree of knowledge regarding financing structures such as debt in tranches, mini-perms, mezzanine, bridge financing, project bonds, derivatives, syndications, SBLCs, revolving credits, trusts, etc. Additionally, financial projections and continuous performance evaluation are a must as to ensure returns on equity ratios, margins, CFADS, required opening cash balances, etc. I also did capital markets products structuring: SWAPS, forwards, flexi - fwd, par - fwd.

Achievements:

• I took part in a USD 660 million refinancing process for a project finance. The whole process implied not only structuring, but modelling projections, debt-sizing while improving IRR for shareholders, DSCR sculpting and modelling mortgage style alternative.
• I activated the company’s debt placement (commercial paper) in the local market programme. This programme was authroised for up to MXN 3, 000 million.
• A working capital credit line (revolving) for MXN 550 million was obtained with my aid.
• I’ve performed optimisation and closure of hedging instruments (swaps and forwards).
• Regarding new projects, I also advise on structuring (maximum exposure, hedging, payments mechanism).

Responsibilities
Reporting risks, clients and operations to the regulators and executing operations regarding the bank’s SOFOM (non-banking non-regulated financial entity), as well as performing all tasks related to: finance; accounting; compliance; relationship with regulator, including generating reports; outstanding claims calculation and monitoring.
Programme development; debt placement; project management and development; activation of the credit placement programme; leading the relationship with potential partners and clients; leading the relationship with regulators (including reporting risks, credits, claims, etc.), rating agencies, broker-dealer, etc.; administrative tasks; audit, finance, tax and accounting oversight and coordination.
Achievements
• Succeeded at activating the group’s SOFOM (non-banking, non-regulated financial entity). Activated the issuance program and coordinated all processes as to achieve the bank’s first debt placement in the Mexican market.
• Actively participated in projects to use the SOFOM as a lending in MXN vehicle for both credit-placement and partnering projects.
• Coordinated all teams regarding the SOFOM’s operations and programme activation.
Efficient decision-making regarding audit, finance, accounting, tax and all related responsibilities

Responsible for confidential investment projects and opportunities, economic analysis and feasibility studies on the proposed investments. Additionally, I was in charge of negotiation processes and leading the relationship with financing sources.
Achievements
• Proposed, researched and analysed a project on the implementation for a manufacturing plant and distribution to the Middle East and Africa.
• Carried out successful initial negotiations in favour of MQ Corporations.
• Researched and analysed projects on an exclusive medical concept in Bahrain. Obtained financing from a regional bank and performed initial operations oversight.
• Researched and analysed a project on the set up of a series of transportation services between Bahrain and other GCC countries.

I was responsible with my team in attracting investment and trade promotion, and negotiating between parties on political and economic issues.

Key contributions:
•Achieved funding from the EU to benefit the creation web design companies.
•Obtained funding and training from the EU to benefit the implementation of ISO 22000 in eight local factories in Tabasco.
•Attracted significant investment from Romania to Tabasco.
