Worked as a Facility Mechanical Engineer in the Facility Management Department where the role demands in maintaining the facility for the better service for the patients.
Duties -
• Performing planned preventative maintenance checks for MEP systems.
• Coordination of repairing the systems related to MEP and other civil works.
• Managing the contracts of the facility department of various technical services and assuring the work done as per the contract well within the timeline of the signed contract.
• Ensuring the highest possible standards and service is received from third party companies.
• Assisting on a day to day complaints received in regards to the facility department.
• Involved in the Asset Management for the facility department.
• Assisting to drive the operational changes for better business performance.
• Assisting the fire safety officer in routine periodic Fire Safety checks.
• Monitoring low current systems including BMS, ACS, CCTV, IPS etc. and medical gas systems.
• Preparing checklist for various technical systems.
• Preparing KPI’s for facility department.
• To prepare and update weekly progress report of the facility issues to the immediate Manager.
• To act as deputy manager in the absence of Facility Manager.
• To lead the group of 9 technicians.
• Involved in budgeting for the facility department and vendor management.
• Involved in authority audits like DOH, ADCD and AADC.
To manage overall construction progress as a client representative. Assisting corporate projects to head with overall site progress.
Duties -
To manage overall construction project engineering, progress payment, operational planning, material procurement, quality control, contract administration, drawing review, submittals, project scheduling & planning and overall supervision of field activities.
Ensuring requirements of standards in HVAC designing for Hospital, involvement in all technical meetings with Consultant and Contractor for the betterment of the project and also analyzing the certification of payment for the progressive work carried out by contractor evaluated by the consultant.
Exposure to all MEP services and other low current systems and medical gas engineering. Also been a part of Testing and Commissioning of all the services installed in the building.
Attended the local authority audit/inspection like ADCD, ADM, ADDC and HAAD in getting successful building license to operate the hospital.
Preparing daily, weekly and monthly progress report of the construction site to analyse the delay factor.
Tender management, Consultant and Contractor management.
Ensuring and execution of construction plans in line with specifications and standards pertaining to the hospital. Also coordinate and review drawings, submissions, specifications, changes and document control.
Preparing minutes of meeting and follow up very closely with the contractor/vendor for the aggressive progress of the project
Material procurement and expediting, inventory control - monitoring and tracking of equipment and resources.
Manage and develop the product/parts of Medical Equipment with strategic planning, vendor management and profitable costing. Key Role in Project transfers from Global business units. Assessment & Development of new suppliers. Supporting Engineering team for VCP project execution and implementation.
Duties:
RFQ MANAGEMENT- Drawing Study & Floating RFQ to vendors, Quotation Analysis and Product Cost Estimation, Vendor Evaluation and Capacity Assessment, Costing Review & Price Negotiation with vendors, Business case preparation.
Cost Management- Involved in Cost Estimation (Sheet metal, Machining and Casting Parts) & Quotation Analysis, effective negotiation on price increase proposals from the supplier in line with the market competition, conduction of workout in reducing the cost of the product (ICV) like DCW and VA/VE
Part/Product development- Ensuring flawless launch during New Product Development (NPD) by using PPAP/FAI tools and interact with supplier quality team, engineering team, manufacturing team and suppliers to pro-actively handle the field complaints.
Vendor MANAGEMENT- Assessment and development of new suppliers for Fabrication, Machining and Casting Parts as per G.E. Standard, Signing of Strategic Business Contract with suppliers for better business runs and Regular supplier visits for in time supply of components, giving technical support in improving the process and for better business runs. Implementing Strategic Planning.
