- HSE Management :

Act as the HSE focal point of contact for the research center - DERC ( The Directed Energy Research center ) for all laboratory and field based demo / testing activities with the Ministry of defense(MOD)
Ensure compliance with Tawazun Industrial park ( TIP ) HSE requirements- TIP HSE Audit compliance, HSE performance report, Hayyakum approval, Hazardous Waste Management etc
Submission of chemical consumption reports to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and Abu Dhabi Police on a monthly basis and ensure its storage as per the regulatory requirements.
Review and update HSE policy and procedures

- Facility Management - Premises and Vendor Management :

Ensure compliance of vendor HSE requirements on site- HSE plans, Method statement, Risk assessment, technical evaluation etc
Manage and monitor vendor maintenance activities as per the SLA and KPI - Preventive maintenance, corrective actions within TAT

-HSE Audits and Inspection for the Research centers :

Conduct risk assessments, internal inspections and audits for each research center, identify NCRs and agree closure timelines with the Research center HSE Representative
Ensure the third party audits conducted by different external entities as Tawazun industrial park (TIP), PwC etc across the shared services and all the research centers are effectively co-ordinated and the actions arising from such audits are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.

- HSE Training requirements & Emergency preparedness and response plan :

Support the different research centers to identify HSE training requirements as per the hazard and risk specific to their scope of works and monitor the completion of the annual training plan.
Review and update Emergency response plan as per the regulatory requirements
Ensure availability of trained HSE personnel and schedule the mock drills as as per Civil defense and ADOSH requirements

- Opsec Management :

Part of the Operational security team covering activities such as - Opsec and HSE induction,
Incident investigation and reporting

Project Management:
Manage and monitor HSE requirements are fulfilled during branch renovations, fit-outs and mergers. Prepare the annual budget forecast for up gradation of HSE systems
Review and approve drawings, BOQ and contract documents submitted by vendors


Data Analysis and Reporting:
Evaluate vendor HSE performance using the agreed KPI’s and recommend improvements Monthly submission of HSE statistics to Top level Management
Conduct periodic workplace inspections, external audit on suppliers and provide necessary risk assessment reports and recommendations to the CSD & FM Department head

Vendor and Contract Management:
Technical evaluation and vendor selection in liaison with the procurement department for tenders Manage and monitor the vendor activities for timely implementation of preventive maintenance schedule whilst meeting the HSE standards and requirements
Manage vendor contracts, purchase requests and invoice payments on SAP Ariba

Fire Safety and Prevention:
Maintain the fire alarm, firefighting systems across all ADCB and Al Hilal’s properties
Conduct HSE inspections to ensure preparedness for Civil defense inspections to obtain the fire safety compliance certificate
Manage the Civil Defense remote monitoring systems - Hassantuk, Aman

HSE Procedures /OSHAD MS and Training:
Develop and implement HSE procedures as per OSHAD MS, Dubai Municipality, UAE Civil defense and ISO requirements
Identify and organize HSE trainings and prepare internal memos in relation to the general health and safety awareness of the staff
Facilitate periodic mock drills to test the effectiveness of the emergency preparedness and staff response procedures
Manage the nurse outsourcing services in all the admin buildings

Waste Management:
Compliance of the waste management procedures as per the Center of Waste Management guidelines
