Tesco 5-Year Refresh: Regional Store Development Manager (Seconded)
Delivered a number of store 'Refresh' projects across the South West & Wales regions. These form part of a UK-wide delivery involving a close relationship with the Principal Contractor, Design Team, Tesco Store Manager, Facilities Management & Design Team. Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for each site team and programme delivery
• Qualifying design & project costs, ensuring alignment with Tesco specification and approved tenders
• Ensure installation is as per approved retail design principles
• Management & communication of project trackers
• Ensure smooth handover to Tesco Facilities Management team
Tesco Wireless Pricing Programme: UK Delivery Manager (Client-Side)
I delivered 700 petrol filling station price gantries across the UK estate, which were implemented over a 14 week period. This programme involved replacing existing units on site with a wireless LED solution, enabling a remote facility to change fuel prices accordingly. Lead a team consisting of a large signage contractor and a Project Quantity Surveying team:
* Control geographical designation, aligning with business needs
* Control and regulation of £4m budget
* Daily progress reports to key stakeholders
* Ensure all levels of communication are 'open' & maintained
Tesco Powerperfector Rollout: Regional Store Development Manager (Client-Side)
I managed a Delivery Team on the installation of electrical energy-optimization units in a number of Tesco stores across the UK. This incorporated connection to a mains 'incoming' board, with Local Electricity Board involvement for 3rd party isolation. Close Stakeholder engagement and good communication facilitated an implementation process which was required in a 'live' business environment:
* 'Hands-on' approach to project delivery
* Detailed Health & Safety review during inception and continuous monitoring of conditions during implementation stage, working closely with CDMC
* Ensured all Stakeholders are clearly communicated to and engaged
* Close control on quality of installation with pre & post-installation checks on all service facilities and on-line IT systems
* Retain power to all 'Essential' areas during implementation process

• Externals hard and soft landscaping work packages totaling £3.2 million. Included remediation of former Gasworks & carpet dye factory grounds
• Shell & core delivery of individual retail units for client fit-out. New-build units with some mezzanine levels (TK Maxx, Marks & Spencers)
• Senior Site Engineer role where I managed a team including university graduates
• Chairperson for the Site Safety Committee Meetings, which supported strong site management and operative relationships

• Refurbishment of marble-finish office reception area (live) and Shopping Center pedestrian Arcade
