1. Providing High-Level Technical Support & assurance for fixed Networks ( OTN, MS-OTN, DWDM, SDH & PTN).
2. Work along with the sales and solution team for new network opportunities.
3. Work with Project delivery team for new network deployment and expansion.
4. Network assessment, insight & audit for risk elimination and optimization.

Provide technical support for Transport Networks troubleshooting, configuration and optimization

•Ensure implementation of all projects within timelines by involving all stake holders.
•Dedicated efforts to rectify all issues raised by customers in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
•Taking initiatives for all Technical problems in order to fix on permanent basis.
•Initiating new Projects for cost optimization and value addition and leading the project as well.
•Mobilize regional teams to rectify all faults and strong follow up till the rectification.
•Analyze all engineering transmission issues and providing solutions with committed SLA.
•Ensure reliable international transmission in coordination with the international teams.
•Proper tracking Vendor TTS and ensure that committed GoS is met by vendors.
•Implementation of Work Orders from Transmission Planning and deployment with in committed time line/SLA

 Provide day to day 2nd and 3rd Line technical support to customers in line with 24x7x365 call-out rota
and SLA commitments, including attendance at site in planned, unplanned & emergency situations.
 Perform routine maintenance inspection of optical networks product line using Optix inspector and preventive measures & solution to overcome the problems highlighted in the inspection reports.
 To Handle Critical, Major and Minor problems along with immediate service recovery, problem solution according to the Customer SLA & satisfaction.
 Implementation of rectifications and precautions published by Huawei Headquarter time to time on customer network for smooth operations and performance.
 Software version and patch up-gradations of Huawei SDH, NG-SDH, DWDM and NG-DWDM products using toolkit, T2000 and Navigator.
 Highlight network risks and provide solution to customer to avoid any hindrance and problem happening on live network.
 Technical meetings with customer regarding network problems resolution, preventive maintenance and network optimization.
 Implementation of network changes along with project team during new projects implementation phase and during existing network optimization phase.
 Internal Network product Line meetings to discuss top issues escalated by customer, to find its solution and to prepare maintenance SOP for key customer Network.
 Technical customer trainings, internal employee’s trainings and technical troubleshooting cases publications on company support website.
 Project execution, cut over planning and implementation.
 Communication with GTAC and R&D for complex issues resolution.
 Ensure customer SLA fulfillment according to customer contract and update record on icare.

• Transport Network’s technical planning, execution, operations, maintenance and optimization.
• Operations & maintenance of Siemens Optical Transmission equipments ( SDH) R4.3 and R2.3 through
Siemens NMS i-e UniGate TransXpress.
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports required to ensure that the planning objectives are met as well as Quality of service is ensured.
• Provide the feasibility regarding the Core Transmission Networks requirements to help to decide the different types of sites and equipment require.
• Knowledge of installation practices together with field based resolution of technical issues providing
technical support to customers and work colleagues and promoting safe and secure environment.
• Performing OAM activities escalated by Network Operation Center (NOC) & rectifying them.
• Output jitter, jitter tolerance, maximum tolerable jitter, jitter transfer function and maximum frequency offset on
tributaries and line signal levels, Receiver sensitivity test, Insertion loss test for DWDM Couplers, Site mode
suppression ratio (SMSR), Polarization mode dispersion optimization.
• Coordination with the concerned departments to optimize result oriented strategies and plan future system and media diversity.
• Led regular customer operations meetings and performance metrics reviews.
• Troubleshooting and rectification of Optical transmission Networks faults through Huawei T2000 NMS.
• Operation and maintenance of 10G DWDM Longhaul ZTE Network (National Backbone of Pakistan).
• Hands on experience on ZTE NMS that is EMS300.
• Media Configuration of E1, E3, STM-1, STM-4, STM-16, and STM-64 level, for Ethernet over SDH,
• IPTV, DSLAMs and for BRAS connectivity through E300 SNMS.
• Testing of Streams at different stages using “JDSU ANT-20” Tester.
• Operation and maintenance of Huawei BITS V3 and V5.
